I just made homemade vanilla ice cream.. MMM it is so good.

Just milk, sugar, cream, and vanilla essense. So easy

I dont give my son chocolate, and hubby is alergic to strawberries.

I will have to try another flavor soon that we can all agree on..

Yah.. It was rather difficult when hubby was bring junk in this house.. We had agreed after easter we would both diet, but he didn't.
So now I just eat very small portions. Ice cream is not so bad, I just had a little..

Yeah, I know what you mean about portion size, I'm also doing that but I've cut out all the refined sugary crap I was eating too, for a few weeks, just to get myself back on track (not really cleansing but getting back to the basics).

Sounds really good. I want to get an ice cream maker so that I can make my own. We did that growing up and it was so much fun to make the flavor you want.

Here's a little one for you Gina :)

Marshmallow Ice Cream

85g dark chocolate broken into pieces
175g marshmallows
150 ml milk
300ml double cream

Put the chocolate & marshmallows in a pot & pour in the milk.

Warm over a very low heat until the chocolate & marshmallows have melted.

Remove from the heat and leave the mixture to cool completely.

Whisk the cream until thick then fold it into the cold chocolate mixture with a metal spoon.

Pour into an empty ice cream container or something similar and freeze for at least 2 hours until firm.

Homemade icecream and marshmallow icecream. Yummo. Next time we've got some warm weather I think I might make some.

No Gina - it is different.

The double cream is really thick. I am not sure if it will work with heavy whipping cream (but then again, our double cream could be the same thing as your heavy whipping cream) :dk:

I suppose you can only try it & if it doesn't work, then try & find double cream.
