Hey, I just wanted to get a few different ways of making it.
My way is:
I fry bacon bits with finely chopped onion (not in oil just dry fry. I dont need bacon bits but I love them)
I add beaten eggs (however many I want)
I have precooked brown rice that I add after the eggs have coated the onion and bacon and cooked.
I pour on soy sauce (as much as I feel like) mix it thoroughly.
Then I add frozen vegies - if I'm using fresh veg I par boil first and drain well.
I use to add capsicum with the onion and bacon but my daughter has decided she doesn't like it. I sometimes add mushies but they can make it too soggy. And I cook the brown rice in beef stock (cube) or home made chicken stock. I cook it til the liquid has soaked in and the rice is soft.
I think thats about it.
I love fried rice - any other methods I can try?

I pre-cook the rice the day before so its nice and dry.
Dry fry diced bacon, (or ham whatever) onion, capsicum.
Do a few eggs and cut into strips....toss in the rice and toss it all together..I add some grated carrot and some peas for color and then add some soy sauce and small amount of curry powder more for color than flavour.

Hubby likes fried rice, hates plain boiled or steamed rice (shame coz I like it). We have fried rice a couple times a month. Your way sounds a lot easier than my way Telori - I cook everything separately then bung it in with the rice at the end.

i make a thin omelette in my wok, and fold this several times before chopping it and removing it to a bowl. I then saute diced bacon, and peas. I toss in my rice and toss the rice for a couple of minutes to brown it up, before adding a little soy sauce. I add shallots at the last minute before serving.
