So much suffering in someone so young. Its amazing what the human body can endure though.

Oh God, that poor little girl. And she was doing so well. Life is so unfair sometimes...makes you wonder if there really is a god doesn't it? And if there is how can he be such a.....bastard.

God breaks your bloody heart, what a tragic horrible thing to happen to the poor wee girl, such a raw deal she has been handed in life, god this is so sad:no: I'm with Telori does make you question what kind of a god would put a little girl through that
What sad news. Sending positive vibes to dear little Sophie and her family.
She has had to endure so much in her short little life.

She has such a little angel face and I cannot believe that she has once again suffered a horrific accident. She has been through so much already.
I truly hope that she recovers fully and does not suffer any more.

poor Sophie it was an elderly driver that caused the first tradgedy in her life now I have just read that the car that hit her was driven by an 80 year old man, he has been charged with all sorts of things. I hope they throw the book at him.

I think it's sad that we haven't even heard about it yet. If it wasn't for you ladies I wouldn't know. Why isn't it important enough to be shown on our news?

She is still classified as critical but stable. The latest article on smh.com.au describes her condition
Her jaw and shoulder bone were broken, her head was bruised, and she had rib fractures and bleeding around her left lung.
Sophie today remained in a critical condition after her fifth night in the Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick.
"Sophie Delezio's condition has remained unchanged in the last 24 hours," the hospital said in a statement.
"She continues to be critical but stable in children's intensive care unit at Sydney Children's Hospital."
Sophie will remain on a ventilator for at least three more weeks.
She is currently sedated in a drug-induced coma, giving her body the time to repair itself and saving the little girl from the pain of broken ribs.

Oh Thank you Naomi,
I still cant get over all she has endured already. Poor thing.
What an amazing little girl, and the whole country is pulling for her.
I only heard about it here on AFW. She is very inspiring.

I think because of what was happening in Tasmania it was overshadowed a bit...but it was in the Sydney papers on Sunday...poor little lasse, makes you wonder why she has to endure so much...she must be destined for a great thing to happen to her know...I feel so much for her family and her brother Mitchell is scared and frightened, got to be hard for him as well...
Imagine being the poor women that was pushing the stroller, even though it wasn't her fault in any way, you would feel so guilty (well I would just feel so terrible). I think it was her God Mother pushing her accros the crossing...which the RTA has now installed a 40km zone...bit late now though for poor Sophie.

She is truly an Earth Angel and I'm sure she chose to come to this life to show people that with determination and strength you are able to achieve anything you set your mind to.
She is an amazing little girl with so much willpower to live this life. Everytime I read her story I cry. Just amazing.
I hope the man who hit her has recovered as well. No doubt he would have been distraught because it was an accident, he never went out purposely to hurt her or anyone else.
