The kids wore them when they were little..I think they are quite cute on kids. Its very hard to dress them warm enough in the morning yet not be too hot as the day warms up so a skivvy under a jumper is a good idea sometimes :)

Personally I wouldnt wear one though.

A skivvie is like a long sleeved T shirt ( usually thicker material tho) here's a link to a picture.

The thing that makes it a skivvy and not just a long sleeve t-shirt is the roll of fabric at the neck. I admit, I wouldn't wear one myself but I do put them on Hugo. Most of his are just high necked tshirts, but he does have one with the proper skivvy roll. It is a brand name though so hopefully he won't be emotionally scarred for life because I made him wear it. I plan on getting him a winter hat that has those ear flaps, so that's probably what will tip him over the edge :Hehe:

My boys used to wear them - up until about prep. Now they both consider them too daggy to wear. I often threaten them that if they don't wear a jumper, I will make them wear one LMAO

My mum wears them. Personally, I don't but thats more because I can't stand to have anything around my neck like that. I don't even really like scarves  because of the same thing. They are to restrictive for me :)

The boys wear them & I have a few - great for cold days. I usually wear a v-neck jumper or crossover top over them to make them look better.

Oh my god I remember these things. My mother always used to make me wear them. Ugh yuk. So far I haven't stooped that low with my kids LMAO Ty has heaps of jumpers that I've gotten from friends so he's pretty much set for winter now. Gav is a weird one and never tells me if he's cold, like one morning I tok him to school and I guess it was a little chilly and here he is no jumper just his shorts and shirt and I'm thinking wonder if he's cold cause 99% of the other kids we seen had jumpers, so I asked him and he says yes mum I'm cold and I'm like aww geez you shoulda grabbed a jumper from home, so now I try and ask him. Errr got a little off topic there but yes I wouldn't wear them ever again I think I was traumatised from when I was little LMAO

I can't stand having anything on my neck either, my kids never wore them with the neck bit, they used to just wear the long sleeved T shirts and a jumper or jacket.

Thank you all. We call them turtlenecks.

I hate skivvies, actually I even hate round neck shirts if they are high. I feel like they are choking me. The boys still wear round neck long sleeve shirts but they aren't skivvies in the true sense.

I thought ya'll were talking about underwear, too! :) I don't wear turtlenecks very often, though, when I am skiing I wear the ones that wick away moisture...

Somehow I feel like that is not what ya'll are talking about, though! :)
