I tried on an Anthea Crawford dress. Asked for an 18 but they only had 16 and under left. so I tried on the 16 and it fit! Only just, but it zipped up and everything!! Going from a size 22 this is good!

Good on you Maggie, although not a good way to lose the weight due to stress. :comfort:
Hope you keep losing, and feeling great about yourself :)

No I did not buy the dress. I was $550. I still think about it..... maybe laybuy...:hehe: I figure I might go see if its still there tomorrow and if it is, maybe its meant to be, and I will put it on laybuy. Maybe.
I have lost 20kg in 3years, then put on 10kg in the year leading up to my marriage breakup. When my marriage broke up last year I decided I was going to lose that 10kg, and in doing so I would be doing for myself. since I was in a very bad way emotionally I knew if I did not make that decision I would balloon right out again. Also it was important that I did something for myself.
So over the years, this is what I found worked for me;
Never deny myself anything, anything in moderation
At first I used the food diary on calorieking.com.au and this helped me understand what I was eating and taught me about food.
Eat more foods as close to their natural state as possible
Minimise processed foods
Stay away from deep fried foods
Minimise fizzy drinks
Eat consciously - think about what I am about to eat before I eat it
If I have a big calorie day, I follow it with a low calorie day
If I get in that mode where I want to stuff myself, I can get low fat milk in a blender with some flavouring and it will fill me up.
I have learned to make healthy choices. So like if I buy a ready made sandwhich I will choose one without mayo and usually without cheese.
I would really like to go down another couple of dress sizes this year, but I have found getting motivated hard. So I need to start exercising more than I do.
