Sore after injection?

When I had my last migraine Nicole took me to the docs a nurse gave me an injection in each thigh.
Well anyway the left leg is still very sore I cant feel any lumps there so I am gathering she may have hit a nerve or something?
Nicole watched the nurse give me the need le and she said she really punched it in ( I know it bloody hurt when she did it?) I told the nurse after it that my leg was really sore and she was worried but then it settled.
ANYWAY it is still very sore to lift its ok walking but to lift to climb stairs etc it is really tight.
I googled it all they talk about are injections for steroids etc??
Dont tell me to go to the docs surely this wont warrant another trip there??
I am feeling well except for this so I dont want to go:D

Has anyone had sore injection sites that have lasted a while?

Jen i think it's been almost a year & a half since i had those 5 iron injections in my butt (not the iron infusions) & honestly the area is still sore to touch & even if i lean up against something on that spot it hurts

I just rang my sis the nurse.
She said it sounds like I have some bleeding in to the muscle and to keep massaging it may take a while to settle down:(

Jenr maybe it is just a local reaction, I have had the odd needle that has caused discomfort for a while,
hope it comes right for you soon and dosn't drag on like Older Dis bum

It's fine now thanks Jen, i asked my nurse & she said not to worry about my arse oh & she also told me to massage it as well :hehe: So i won't worry anymore :D

yeah, i've had that happen to me too. the site is very sore. :yes: it took a couple weeks with mine to go away..

My babies have had that with their immunisation. The doctor said it was just a localised reaction and can take a few weeks to go away. Could it be the same thing?
