What I used to do was ...put some moouse or gel in my hair then hung my head upside down and dried it on a low heat while scrunching the hair in my fingers.

if i was excessively lazy i would just mousse the crap out of it & sleep on it... i'd look like rob smith from the cure when i woke up.
but then again I don't think I've scrunch dried my hair since 1994... but you get better curls upside down :)

poducts from Panteen for smoothing hair are also good.
and leave in conditioner and then scrunch.

Same as the other girls but the tip is to not dry it off completely. Leave it a tiny but damp with the mousse and it will stay scrunched better. You can get special scrunching mousses.
Also, when you dry it, scrunch into your fist and blow dry it close to the roots.

same thing.
sometimes i would just shampoo it, that way it was more rough than sleek and straight with conditioner.
throw in gel/mousse..scrunch, then dry while scrunching.

Good idea with the no-conditioner, Kiki! Lately my hair has seemed straighter and non scrunchable, but maybe I will try that.

yeah, when my hair is more stiff it works better and the curls/waves stay longer.
