So, I have a recipe that has been in my family for generations that is a chocolate pie with merengue (sp?) on top.

Whenever I make it, the merengue weeps, making a liquid between the chocolate and the merengue, and then the merengue slides around.

Any tips?

Sounds to me as the meringue hasnt dried out enough.........not cooked long enough perhaps?

Supa, that would be my guess too. Use a low heat and cook longer I think.

Thank you! That makes perfect sense. I will try that next time. I just hate it when I have this beautiful pie that turns to mess!
