When we were out shopping last night there were so many teenagers and you adults dressed like total morons with no fashion sense what so ever. Guys with jeans falling down, flashing their undies or boxers and it looks like the only thing stopping from going all the way is their down there parts.

chicks with long hair but the top part cut really short looking very much like a mullet EWWWWWWW :eww:, so not attractive, then the same chicks wearing really brightly coloured stockings with daggy dresses or skirts and big boots or the really tight spray on jeans which for some reason are back in fashion and none of it matches at all. I really don't know how their parents allow them to leave the house like that, I sure as hell wouldn't let my kids dress like that.

Jason said there is no way he is letting his daughter (if we have one) dress like a skank or a fashion victim and would prefer her in overalls LMAO

It's scary isn't it :Hehe:

I think every year there are different trends that come in that I wouldn't be seen dead in, let alone let the kids wear it.

I think I'll be safe with my two as I am pretty open with them and they already know that I don't like the jeans around the bum with boxers hanging out. I don't think they'd want to do that anyway or they'd end up with not only a boxer wedgy but a jeans one too LMAO

Yep I hate the boxers hanging out almost as much as the G'string. And I hate the hipster jeans that are so low when the girls bent over you see butt crack (what is the go with that...do you really want to show off your crack in public! )

LMAO One day in town here me and my cousin Chloe were at the bigger shopping centre and there was a girl maybe about 10 or so wearing a mini mini skirt, kneee high boots and a boob tube top. She was with friends I think no parents in sight. Was disgusting. This town is full of those little teeny boppers that aren't teenagers but try to look like them. If I had a girl OMG they'd be dead if I caught them in anything like that.

I would never let my girls wear anything that was too old for them, or with suggestive things written across their chest. They will have enough time to be objectified when they are adults...it's not starting when they are still children. (regardless of the size of their chest, they are still children)

I'm lucky my girls have never been girly girls, they cover up and 'bag out' any girls they see showing more than they are wearing. LMAO It makes me so proud LMAO Actually they do dress up occasionally and they look so gorgeous, I'm glad they dont dress like it all the time.

I know it's not funny to you but it is to me. You all sound like your own mother's!!!
I know you sound like mine use to when I was young! I grew up in the 60's with the mini skirts etc. My mother nearly had a fit when I started wearing mini skirts and bikini pants (underwear).
I don't mean any offence to anyone but it's so interesting at my age to hear all of you going on about the fashion these days.

I'm so glad that when Kylie was growing up the fashion didn't degrade girls or make them look like sex objects. Although when she went through her Madonna stage one could have said that. Times sure have changed.
I don't like the way young girls dress as though they have no shame and the boys with their pants falling off - how uncomfortable.

I am agreeing with you, but it just sounded so funny when I read all of your comments. Please don't get annoyed with me. :)

LMAO LMAO LMAO

I do see your point. Its funny how people change the way they think when it comes to their own kids or their future children. Jason is hoping we don't have a girl cuz he knows whats boys get up to (or want to get up to) and doesn't want any messing around with his little girl. Its funny though as he was one of those boys once upon a time and now he is getting all protective and he doesn't even have a daughter yet.

Thanks for seeing the funny side of it Leonie!
Dad's are usually very protective of their daughter's for that very reason.
I wonder what the fashion will be when your children are in their teens? The mind boggles! I've seen all of the fashions for years now, been there, done that with most of them but the way girls are being degraded is disgraceful especially when I know what women my age and a bit older went through for the freedom of women. Sounding old again! But we did fight for women's liberation. You know burn the bra and all that stuff. Now the girls are turning around and acting like 'sex items'. I don't know that they look at it this way, I don't think they do, but I'm not sure. Also the age that they are having sex now just disgusts me. They aren't kids for long. What happened to the days when girls would hang with girls and just check out the guys and giggle. Now they are 'bonking' or at least having oral sex which isn't counted as sex! I do not understand. Sorry, went on a bit too much didn't I.

I dont understand this part either Bev. Since when has oral sex became treated like kissing? I watched a debate on Tele a little while ago where the kids were arguing their virtue and morals, saying they were only having oral not real sex...WTF.

Sorry a bit off the topic there.

Telori - I have no idea. It makes me feel sick!
Yes, we are a bit off the subject aren't we.
Girls are the ones doing the giving (oral sex) I don't know if they receive. Yet another lesson that we have to please men!! I'm not a man basher, but really! Not that I think that this should be going on at all because I don't. I really does make me feel sick.
A young boy I know is 14 years old has a 13 year old girlfriend. His mum is no longer alive, so he had a talk to his father about things getting a bit 'hot and heavy' between him and the girl and his father said it's OK to do everything else, but no penetration.
When I was told of this (and it's the truth) I nearly threw up. I am no prude but what are kids of this age doing!!!! This is a nice boy too. I'll bet that if he was a girl his father's answer would have been different! Honestly! I'm so glad I have gone through the bringing up children stage, but I don't want to know what kids ar doing these days. It scares me half to death!
Sorry about hijacking your post with all this stuff Leonie.

I am sure at some pount I was thought of as a fasion victim by my family or other elders..

I was born in the late 70' so I wore 80' style growing up.. I had the biker shorts with lace on the bottom, I wore boob tubes.. I also wore "Daisy Dukes" before they named them that(before that rap video)
I had these Madonna shoes I wore in $th grade and short skirts, calf high boots..

I never wore just a pair of jeans and a shirt..

Looking back now, I can't believe I was let out of the house like that...

I see the kids now and think they must be retaliating against their parents or something..

Now I see a lot of punk kids, mohaws and colored hair and punk clothes.. which was 80's.. I always here that styles comeback every 20 years.. guess it's true.

I think it is awaful for little girls to wear such revealing clothes.. I see tiny shirts for gorls about 5 that say DIVA or FLIRT.. how can a parent put that on their child?

Yeah same Gina, me and my cousin seen some the other day and were just talking about it. Some of the girls shirts said stuff about wasting time putting make up on, I can't remeber what it said word for word. And also things about boys, like one too many boys too little time, I've seen that on a girls shirt.

My personal beef is not what people are wearing, (as long as it's clean), but the fact that women especially try to squeeze themsleves into the tightest little tops and pants or skirts around. AHHHHHHH.
You may be able to fit into little tops and jeans after you have a child but your body shape has changes so much that it really looks like crap showing off your baby belly and stretch marks. And people that really look middle age dressed in something that is probably too young for a teenager, or those terrible plastic tracksuits with dada written on em. Paaalease YOUR OLDER, get over it, I wanna yell. They look 10 years older than they are, trying to young.
I reckon there's a epidemic of people not owning mirrors in Inala at the moment, cause if they really saw how they looked surely they wouldn't leave the house.
Cheers

Ummmmm!!!! That could be me. You will have to wait until you see me and then tell me if I'm one of those. I wear tight jeans (stretch) and my tops all fit me. Does it help that I'm about 50kg and 153 tall!? Then again, I'm 53! Oops nearly 54! The only T Shirt that I wear has 'I'm a Witch' on it and Kylie bought me that one. It's a Bewitched one. Uhh O! I wonder what you will think of me when you meet me. I'm coming up to the shop one day to see you. I'm worried now. LOL

I have no idea about the brands that you're talking about either. Sorry, bit like the young music. Goes right over my head.

I hate stretch marks. I dont care how skinny you are and how good your body still is if you have stretchy's PLEASE dont show them off! My ex SIL is skinny and tall and looks good but she wears little tops (mid drift type T-shirts) and really low hipsters...stretchy's everywhere you can see. But she's proud of them 'cause she's had kids?...

speaking of the females who wear clothes too small/tight etc there is nothing worse than seeing a chubby chick with a tight short skirt and a tight very revealing little top and her fat rolls are hanging out all over the place, it makes me sick.
