View Full Version : a boo boo
I was flicking through paper yesterday and cut my right index finger under the nail bed.
Now its warm and sore & I can't figure out how to treat it without just dipping my finger in a glass of Listerine.
Help?
BTW: I can't get at the actual wound site because my short ,chipped, and clear of nail polish for once in my life, nail covers it.

 ouch I hate papercuts too.How did you go with it Maliss?
I haven't done anything... too busy entertaining the boyfriend.
But now that I type its still warm to the touch, I always thought that meant there was an infection? Blood cells of some weird colour swarming to the area to fight? I'll google it.

yeah, usually warmth is considered to be an infection, but infections also include redness, swelling, pus, etc.
i have paper cuts on both of my hands. it burned the first day, but now that i'm constantly washing my hands and putting lotion on them, they don't hurt as bad. i would just make sure that it's clean, since it's your hand and lots of germs are on your hands.

I always say, cauterising the area with a red hot poker does the trick!

But if it stings, don't put your finger in your mouth.:D

You stick the finger in your ear, keep it there for several days while your earwax mends the injury. Must keep it there though, no taking it out!
