Had her appendix out about 3 weeks ago & when she got the stitches out she told the Dr that she still had the same pain so now it looks like she has a Hernia :brow: so she has had the appendix out for nothing :uhno: I can't believe that would happen

You'd think that they would have seen that when they were inside her taking the appendix out..
Here's hoping that heals up soon then.
(I hope she slapped the Dr when he told her.)

Similar thin happend to me MOC when I was 21. I had excrutiating pain diarrhoea and constipation and to cut a long story short I ended up in hospital with supposed Appendicitis and when they opened me up found nothing was wrong with my appendix but took them anyway as I did not need them and did further exploratory surgery and found nothing and just sewed me up and sent me home and then the pain returned and after seeing two more doctors I found out I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome because of my poor diet (was living away from home at the time). Once I turned my diet around the pain went away.
Maybe get your neice to have further testin beofre going under the knife again.......

hope all is ok with her Moc
Did they do a full open in the surgery or keyhole? Because if she just had full open for some reason the hernia could have developed after the surgery... right? Where's Dr. Stormy?

The poor thing. I hope she doesn't suffer too much on her holiday. Silly Dr!!! But by the sounds of her, she would have told him what she thought!!!
