and what sites do you visit on a regular basis?

I like Firefox, as I can have a few pages open at the same time when I first fire it up. Obviously it is AFW, and some other AFW related pages.

I don't really visit many other sites on a regular basis. Of course eBay, I visit there at least once a day. A design forum I enjoy reading a few times a week. Other than that it's sites I search for, for a reason. I bookmarks I have (way too many of) for specific things.

I use Firefox as well ;) Its great!! I also open up a few tabs when I first log on usually my e-mail, AFW, some other forums, and the news. I have tonnes under my bookmarks but I don't go there frequently, its usually the forums, emails, bank stuff... all the boring things :P

I don't have a homepage just a 'blank' page, used to have msn or hotmail but all the issues I've had with hotmail have given up on that (as Alex knows) LOL. It also takes too long to d/l when you are on dial up and u don't even want that page first up...

I have Google as my home page, only because it loads quickly. When I had Dial-up, I just had a blank page as my homepage, because I got sick and tired of waiting for the site to load.

I love Google Images, because whenever I download music, I go and find the cover of the CD to use as the thumbnail in Windows Explorer which I use constantly. I can't believe it when my friends don't know how to use that, because it's so easy and I love to organise all my stuff into different folders.

Other than AFW, and my bank site, I don't regularly go to any websites, but I do browse now and then and look at different websites first thing in the morning when no one is on to chat to.

I use Firefox, too. Google is the homepage but I think that's the default and I've never got around to putting anything else instead (in my previous life when I gave a d@mn, I had the SMH site as my homepage).

I regularly visit this forum (most days), a parenting forum (daily), a cat forum (less frequently now that this computer wont let me so I have to swap computers), webmail for work (every few days) and our website maybe once a week to update it. Oh, and I have Entourage (email) open all the time. I used to be a news junkie but will only look now if there's something specific I want to see.

It's a better browser than some others
:IE:

(Actually, back in the days when this forum was in a different format, I was using Safari which was fine except I couldn't see the titles of any of the forums or threads - just a funny safari thing. So Alex/Leigh (I think) suggested Firefox, and I have never gone back)

You can get Firefox HERE (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) Vi.
It is a new browser set to give IE a run for it's money. They hit 50 million downloads on the weekend.

Give it a try, I hate change but forced myself to (and Pam) to use it. Once you get used to it you will never go back, it is SO much better. And has so many cool extra features and toys ;)

Hi Leigh,

Can you use Firefox to check your e-mails too? I browse mainly with IE these days but still use Netscape for e-mails. It would be good to have browsing & e-mail in the same browser.

Naomi: I was going to PM you, sorry you're still having problems accessing C-W. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

Oops, I didn't answer the original question. My homepage is customised, it's got all my favourites on, this enables me to access my favourite sites from any computer...without having to search for the url.

Generally I check COA as I still moderate it (sigh), C-W, here & a parenting forum. I used to surf a lot more, but don't have much interest anymore so just check out a handful of specific sites.

Julia.

No, I don't think any other of the major browsers other than NS offer that. Mozilla have their own email client, Thunderbird, to go with Firefox. I've never used it so not sure how intergrated it is.

My homepage is www.emailcash.com.au. Although I visit my own site (www.pinkdotbeauty.com.au) or Melissas site (www.businessmums.com) a lot more often. :)
