maybe TMI but i have a lump

i have found a lump on my private part.. It feels about 1cm cube and it is underneath my skin. but the top of my skin is dark pink and quite tender near the lump.. do you think i should get it checked out asap or wait until i can get into my doctor on Sunday....:blink:

Sounds like maybe a boil or cyst... My DP gets them. Although never on a private part. if it were me I would wait until my appointment. However if you are really concerned about it then the worry will do you know good and you should just get it checked out for peace of mind.

I agree with Rachie, sounds like a boil or cyst but get it checked by your Dr because they can get infected i know a young girl had one get infected & the poor girl was in pain for a few weeks & could'nt even walk properly

Nosey It does sound to me like a cyst or a boil, and I also have had them there, they can be quite painfull, a good thing to put on them in Magnaplasm ( sp), cover the affected area and then cover with a cover of some sort, I dont recommend band aids LMAO OUCHHHHH...

I was thinking ingrown hair too....they can be very painful. Irrespective of that.....go to the Doctor.

I had one once it was a cyst caused by an ingrown hair and eventually drained itself. It was very painful and at the time I paniced. You should get it checked though.

naomi-my mom had that too. :yes: it had to do with shaving and it became a huge lump. :yes:

my sister had one actually on her private. :blink: this was just a couple weeks ago too. it was pretty big-the size of a grape she said and was getting bigger. she went to her OBGYN and they slit it open to get the pus or whatever it was out..she said it the incision hurt a little, but it's gone now..the doctor said she thought it was a pimple that got infected. :dk:

i'd get it checked right away. :yes: not sure if it hurts you or not, but my sister's hurt every time she sat. :yes:

thanks ladies... i have had one once before but alot smaller... and they stayed for awhile and then disappeared but then this one came up and it is alot bigger and alittle more ouch...

Now as for the band aids nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooo i won't put a band aid on it..
I do have to go for another lady matter on Sunday so i will get it checked out whilst she is in that region...

yeah i will get it checked out... there isnt any puss or anything like that or hair as such so not really sure it is just a solid lump.. but thanks everyone for your input..

well went and got checked out... it was a boil and because i have had two of them i now have to have blood tests as boils near hair as a sign of diabetes... so will get that done on the weekend...
