I got mine done today and I am pleased to say that (I dont have too many) they all are non threatening except one :D I have to go back in a month to see if this small one has changed and she will most likely take it off, its the tiniest mark really!
Skin cancer runs all through my family and I have put it off for so long now, the appointment I mean, but at least all is okay for now
Not all good news though....she also found out that my asthma is really bad (have to bump up the cortisone), I have a chest infection that is raging and I am still in the middle of glandular fever....I'm getting worse and its been 4 weeks now
Oh well, So have you had your moles checked lately???

Nup, i had one checked once after the guy i was seeing kept insisting so i did it to stop his harping - all fine. I've gotten stacks of little ones and those little red spots over the last few years....sigh. To be honest its not something i overly worry about, although if i had something that looked dodgy i would get it checked asap.

I have one on the left side of my jaw near my ear and I have had it checked since I was 12 but I've got a new one like a dark freckle one my right arm where I was burnt and they took skin from for a donor site. I'm going to have it checked by my surgeon in a few weeks when I see her.

PP .... Glandular Fever has to run it's course and when you have a large family to care for plus other worries, it may just take longer.
I have mine done every 6 months as I have HUGE ones & am covered in them! It sux but it has saved my life I had aggressive melanoma when i was 21 on my right boob I had had round 20+ moles removed & get new ones growing all the time :(

It might be hard but it's good you're proactive and get them checked.
I really need to get mine done. Really.
