I am in desperate need for some new Bra's and things. I have been browsing some online stores and got to thinking who spends $100 on a bra???
What is the most you would spend on a bra, or some undies? Just general every day things, nothing special.
Where do you usually buy them?

The most I've ever spent on a bra was about $55 but these days, I'm lucky to spend more like $30. I pretty much have only everyday functional bras right now, but that's because I haven't been in a relationship for about 18 months.
Maybe I should start investing in a couple of nice sets, but I certainly won't be paying $100 for them. I think you can get some nice sets (bra and knickers) for under $70 for the lot.

The most I have spent is about $80 on a bra and then $50 for the knickers.
The best buy was UKPDS5 for some french knickers which I got from Marks and Spencers when I was in London but sadly can't buy them online.
I only shop at Mary Holland at Castle Towers they have some of the best stuff and varies from $10 for knickers to $100's and the service is terrific.
I'm off shopping next week for new Bra's so I'll let you know how much I spent LOL
I just want plain seamless nude ones ;)

For maternity bra's, I've paid around $60!
I have had an Intimo party in the past and got 2 bra's for free :D

I've been to an Intimo party and I really like their stuff.... I even had the lady come in and 'fit' me properly because apparently I put my bras on wrong (it was rather embarrassing but I got over it LOL). I bought 2 bras from the party about 3 years ago and they are still going!! Otherwise I have 2 other berlei bras but am mad because the underwire has just come out of one of them x( Any excuse to go shopping... :pam:

Getting fitted was a bit weird, but it helped :) Also learning how to put a bra on properly made a huge difference! The lady in bras n things told me I needed an extension, but I didn't really...

Melissa I'm naughty.. I've gone back to my old way of doing it... Turning it upside down, with the clip pieces at my front and then twisting it around my body and then putting it on LMAO I don't know why I just can't get the hang of the proper way :(

I thought they only went on one way :dk:
I remember mum taking me to Grace Bros to get a fitting for my first bra, I was mortafied LOL
I've not heard of Intimo (just looking it up) Do they have nice stuff, is it pricey??

Maternity bras are expensive (although I've recently discovered KMart does a fairly big, cheap range of them).
Normal bras, I really like the berlei ones that are very plain, no seams etc. Can't remember how much they cost (I generally wait until there is a sale. Myer often has the 'Buy two and get x% off the second one' or something). Maybe around $30?
DH buys me 'nice' lingerie as gifts and I just don't want to know how much it costs. (But have you ever noticed that the 'nice'stuff isn't always comfortable?)

Naomi, that's why I don't own any nice lingerie... only the boring, plain and comfy kind cus comfort is my number one priority!! Poor OH :P

LOL...i thought i was the only one who put bra's on with the clip at the front then turn it around!!! LMAO Seeing those posts made me laugh and feel better at the same time!
My hubby laughs at the way i put my bra on and asked if "thats the way you have to put them on"?? Well if they can't take it off us with two hands front ways then how they bloody hell are we surpose to put them on streaching our arms backwards??
I've always wanted to buy some really nice bras etc... but i've only ever bought one's from Kmart or Best and Less cuz they're cheaper!
Would you believe the last bra i bought was a maternity one 7months ago from Best and Less and i still wear it!!! Even after i stopped breastfeeding when she was 2months old!
Ok...now i'm sad.... ;(

Good to know I am putting them on the right way then ;) What's the difference tho? I mean does it really matter LOL
I wore a maternity Bra a bit longer than I needed to  It was very nice, you couldn't tell it was, and it was just so comfy. I had to throw it away tho, or I might still be wearing it LOLOL

Ummm....I've never but a bra on with clipping it at the front and then moving it around - i thought you are suppose to put it on as you wear it and then clip it up from the back - it's not that hard is it???

I have always put my bra on backwards, done the clips up and then turned it around. I just find it easier that way.

Leigh, the Intimo lady told me the way I do it is wrong and will wreck the bra quicker by stretching it more so I'd have to buy bras more often so that's why you got to do it the right way... And I find it hard I don't know why I am so clumsy cus I can't see what I'm doing behind my back LMAO
I just bought a great little bra (perfect for you Monty LOL no clips just stright over your head) only $15 NOW Seamfree Body Hugging Fit Shaping Bra :) I love it!
It's made of microfibre so feels incredable and completely seamless ..perfect exactly what I wanted. Tho it might not suit bigger cups or if you need support as it has no underwire. Comes in a range of pretty pastles with matching g's, pants, singlets etc.

I love the bond body shaper range. They are nice and comfy, perfect for wearing around home, and to bed (I HAVE to wear a bra of some sort all the time, drives me nuts other wise)

That makes sense, I think I used to do it that way. Now I put it on upside down, do the clips up at the back, and then flip it up and but my arms in. I don't think any of us will go to hell if we don't put our Bra's on right

I hate buying bras, I can never find any to fit. Been to parties, fitted at shops and done the rounds of departments stores. I'm a small cup size but very broad around the bust. So when I do find a bra that fits I buy about 6 of them and hope they last for ages.....

I'm past buying the nice things, no one but me sees it anyway LOL. I buy for price and comfort. And in larger sizes that usually doesn't mean pretty, it is getting better these days though.
I usually buy from Big W, K mart etc.
