I like Dove creme deoderant, or Dry Idea (baby powder) spray. I'm lucky and don't seem to have excessive odor or wetness problems.

What I can't understand tho, is when someone stinks to high heaven, offending everyone who comes within sight of them. I knew a woman who's husband absolutley stunk ..she would tell me she tried buying him all kinds of deodorants but he simply refused to wear deodorant saying "that's how nature intended me to smell" OMG! Poor woman I have no idea how she put up with him.. and this was in hot sweaty Townsville too!

Look, for crying out loud, I'll take a quick sniff under my arms to check (just to make sure) and I can detect the slightest odor if I should have it. So I don't believe they can't smell themselves!

What do you think? Or is it just me who gets so offended by bad BO :eww: ?

MIL is in to natural therapies & stinks! I can't stand going near her, but can't say anything either (long story!).

I always use deoderant...

I personally can't stand body odour and I think it's disgusting that people don't care that they offend others. I was in the supermarket the other day and this guy stunk so much that I actually had to hold my breath everytime he walked past me.

If I worked closely with someone like that, I would be speaking to management and asking them to speak to them about their body odour problem. I have worked in the past with some Indian ladies, who were lovely ladies, but one in particular really smelled bad and you could actually smell her, minutes after she walked away. I don't think I could have sat beside her.

I have to admit that body odour is one of my all time pet hates. Many a time I have walked past someone in the street and hand to hold my breath! Talking about that made me think of a friend of mine (no she doesnt smell) but she has a problem with excessive sweating, especially of the hands. When she gets stressed you can actually see the sweat dripping from her hands...wouldnt this be terrible?

I can not stand BO and I think cleanliness and odour go hand in hand. So if you are stinking, you are spreading your germs... well maybe not but that's what I think when I smell it LOL.

I have a bit of an excessive perspiration problem, as does my sister, I don't know if it is hereditary or not.. And I know a few other ladies that have it too... The thing is it doesn't generally smell like BO.. I can't explain. I put tonnes of deoderant on including the roll on and spray and when I'm going to a function I put perfume on top.. so I can't smell!!!! I don't have the sweaty hand thing tho which is good. But it is difficult when I am shopping for clothes as certain materials make it worse and I don't often wear tight, long sleeved tops... Anyway now that I'm completely embarrassed now I'll go crawl under a rock  :P

Oh Monty Hugs, it must be so frustrating to excessive perspiration problem, but at least you smell pretty ;) My MIL also has excessive perspiration, but never once has she smelt anything but nice. So these stinky offending people have no excuse have they! They can't blame excessive perspiration!

Even with excessive perspiration, I think it's only after it's been exposed to air for some time that the bacteria (which causes the smell) starts to grow. Or I might have no idea what I'm talking about.

I find BO really yuck! (especially when you know it's not just 'end of the day, I need a shower' but 'I haven't seen a bar of soap for days' kind of smell).

DH is always obsessed about if he smells, he's always asking me "Do I smell?" (because he's a bit of a sweater as well). But he showers all the time and uses deodorant, and always smells good!

Oh you poor thing monty, that would suck. Is there not anything medicaly that can be done to help the problem?

BO is awful, I hate going out in summer, stinky people everywhere. Another smell I hate, and I'm not sure what it is. I think it is like cheap soap flakes or something, that some people use to wash everything, hair, clothes, mixed with BO..it's :eww:

:eww: Leigh you just reminded me of something I can't stand the smell of either... stale, dirty hair!

BTW I have a turbo nose :( it's a pita being able to smell everything 10 feet away!

Leigh, you can get an operation done but you have to be off work for about 2 weeks afterwards which I can't really afford to do. And I hear its painful...

Oh dear, that does sound nasty :( . I thought there might have been some medication or something. What exactly does the operation involve?

The last time I went to the chemist to find something to use they only had powders which reacted badly with my skin :( As for the operation I know they extract some of the sweat pores in the deeper layers of your skin.. Usually such people have overactive sweat glands or they have too many sweat glands...It doesn't sound pleasant.
