I have an egg lifter that has came out of the dishwasher still dirty for days now and I keep putting it back in with a little hope that it will come out clean next time. Now why can't I just wash it by hand?! I'll also try in vain to get the dishwasher to clean the sauspan complete with remains of burnt dinner ..it'll stay in the dang dishwasher hogging the back corner until I need to use it LOL

If socks don't match, I just keep throwing the extras back in the dirty laundry until they come out as a pair. Some socks have been cycling through for years, I'm sure.

Oh dear, I'll throw clean things in the wash because I'm too lazy to pick it up, and hang it back up ..well it's all creased now isn't it LOL

I whiz around and spot clean the floors with a damp rag cause I can't be bothered washing them properly.

I've toed the odd thing under the couch ..omg I can't believe I'm telling you this.. and even the fridge!

Come on, fess up, make me feel better  , what do you do?

I throw odd socks in a drawer & forget about them until we've run out of socks!

I leave dirty pots to clean themselves

I don' make the beds.

I often put clean clothes in the wash rather than putting them away - after all, they've been sitting out for so long they're dusty again!

You just reminded me about something that happened years ago.

When hubby and I first moved in together I went away for a week with my mum.
The day I was coming home 2 female friends of his came to check up on him to make sure the place was clean for when I got home. They were very surprised when it was tidy not even dirty dishes in the sink.
One of them needed to use the loo, she found his secret stash of dirty dishes soaking in the bath LMAO . he hadn't washed one thing all week LMAO

I have a little floor mat between the lounge room and the kitchen (to hide a mark on the lino) and I can't stand seeing bits of stuff on it, but instead of vacuuming it, I just pick it up and shake the stuff off and then put the mat back down on top...lol

Usually I'm a good cook, but last week I made mini pizzas, using those plain bases you buy in the bread section. I accidently burned the bottoms of them but the tops looked really nice, so I grilled some new bases and just moved the tops over to the new bases. Voila!!!

I hardly ever make my bed...but I have to admit that I do prefer when it is made.

You know the yucky solid bits that are sometimes left in the sink after washing up? Sometimes, when I'm feeling lazy, I just push them down the plug hole rather than throw them in the bin.

I do the spot cleaning of the floor too ;)

We leave clean clothes in the clothes basket and just get them straight out to wear rather than put them away (not always, but often!)

We leave dishes to 'air dry' in the rack, because 'it's more hygenic' (HA! yeah, right.)

I tried to solve the odd-sock issue by buying DH 12 pairs of the same socks so they ALL match. But I STILL end up with odd socks (I think DH throws a stray in every so often as a joke) - so they stay in the clothes basket, waiting until that elusive match comes along.

If we are having a party or friends over I have been known to hide all the dirty washing in the washing machine- so much that I have to put someting on top so the lid will stay down. I do the same thing with the dirty dishes into the diswasher - its so full the spinner thingy wouldn't be able to move LMAO

And I always do the spot thing on the kitchen tiles- I don't even know if we actually have a mop lol

Our clothes very rarely make it from the clean washing basket into the drawers - when I do put the clothes away hubby doesn't know where to find his clothes he thinks I haven't washed them LMAO

I was helping a friend out once with her daughters birthday party and went to grab a tray out of the cupboard to put food in the oven. She stopped me and said "Thats where all my dirty dishes are hidden" LMAO

My biggest thing I hide would have to be the ironing...lol. Then I get this urge and I do it all then Im very happy with my self.

I 'hide' the ironing by folding it up and putting it on the ironing board like I'm just about to do it. I usually do this when MIL comes over (I'm sure she's not fooled!) Sadly I never seem to actually get to the point where I DO do it. I'm sure I'd feel pleased with myself though if I did.

Oh, I feel so much better!! I thought I was the worst housewife in the world LMAO

I do the hiding the clothes in the washing machine. Not putting stuff away in draws.
Wetones are great for spot cleaning many things LOL.

I haven't used a clothes line in nearly 3yrs :O

I only bought myself an iron and ironing board about 12mths ago. I think I have used it 4 times maybe.

And I too leave things in the dishwasher a few washes, in the hope that maybe next time the ick will come off LOL

I do every single one of those things and kinda felt bad about it up until now cuz i'm not alone!!!

Most of our clothes some clean, some dirty are all thrown on my side of the bed which is next to the wall so no one can see them. I've been meaning to clean them up but they've been there since we moved in 3months ago!!! Most of them are summer clothes anyway so no rush!!! LOL

Even when i do wash clothes they stay on the line for sometimes as long as a week! I'll occasionally go out there and pick off what i need to wear that day and then of course by then end of the week everything that was left on there is dirty so i'll go and wash them again!!

I blame The Internet!!! LOL

Ohh you've all reminded me of a few more things I am guilty of....

I try not to iron anything that doesn't need it or that I can get away with not ironing and I used to be someone who would iron teatowels..no joke.

I've also not used a clothesline in a long time, and prefer to use my dryer all the time. But I find that my clothes last much longer than they did, when I used to hang them out in the hot sun all day, so that's my excuse for being lazy.

Because I fessed about toeing something under the fridge, I now think about it everytime I walk past the fridge. OK I'll tell you what it was.. a great big dead cockroach laying on his back with his legs in the air. I had a house inspection, had just put the vacuum cleaner away (NO way was I picking that thing up) so I  lined him up, gave him a real good flick with my toe (but careful not to squish him in anyway :eww: ) and he skidded across the kitchen floor, under the fridge and out of sight! At the time I felt somewhat gleeful. How long will he take to disintegrate do you think? LMAO

I hid all my dirty dishes in my cupboards once when my MIL came to visit LOL

LMAO Julie, that is the exact same excuse I use!!
It's true tho, they don't get faded like they would on the line. And I find Jake's t shirts last a lot longer now, before getting holey. He likes to wear a shirt until it is well and truely dead and even then it's a struggle to throw it out

No, I don't do any of the above. I don't dust very often though & NEVER iron. If I buy something that is washed & comes out creased I either wear it like that or don't wear it again. I point blank refuse to iron.

Oh hang on, I do do the odd spot clean of the floor with baby bum wipes because it's impossible to mop the floor with a toddler.

Well I'm not viligant what so ever when it comes to cleaning or house duties.

I also leave clothes on the clothes line or airer for over a week unless I need it. Then it sits in the washing basket, the cat sleeps on it, we wear it... and the cycle starts all over again :P

I always wash the bits down in the bottom of the sink. When we get ants in the sink I generally drown them with water and when they get stuck on my washing up cloth i just put them under hot water until they fall off or until the washing up cloth goes dry and i can shake them off LMAO

I clean the cat's bowls maybe once a month... this is bad I know! :eww:

I don't often 'scrub' the shower clean until before inspections, I usually use the spray and wipe kind of cleaner until it is absolutely necessary LMAO

Wow if my OH's mother ever found out any of this she would go skitz.... she has a bit of OCD when it comes to cleaning houses... :P

You girls are wonderful  thanks for your confessions :pam: I might even learn a few tricks LMAO

oh  Good to see I'm not alone. lol

I hide clothes in the washing machine, if visitors are coming. Sometimes the clothes stay on the line for 2 days...until I push myself out the door to get them in. Then they are in the basket for a couple of days, before I finally get around to folding them. LOL

I only iron my sons clothes and mine. Poor hubby misses out. LOL Mean I know.

I also spot clean the kitchen floor....and the shower.....well....it doesn't get cleaned as often as it should.

But if an inspection is coming...then I do a major clean. All the things I don't get around to doing. lol

I don't always make my bed.

The list goes on and on....hehehe

This isn't a confession, more of a brag!!

I got so sick of seeing how messy it had got beside the stove, that I actually pulled the whole thing out and cleaned the entire area. I scrubbed the sides of the stove and benches and cleaned the floor as well. It's amazing how quickly it all builds up.

My landlord (Dept of Housing) recently came around and insisted we have these stupid bolts put in to hold the stove down just because one child pulled a stove down on top of them. I tried telling them that I don't have young children in the house anymore, but they insisted. So before I could clean yesterday, I had to get down on the floor, with a torch and a wrench and undo the silly things, so I could move the stove.
