Free blog sites which are the easiest and quickest way to do it include blogger and blogspot, I'm sure there are more.

Photo hosting sites include flickr, imageshack, photobucket.

My site, we bought the domain, we pay to have it hosted then we loaded some free blogging software (well, then Leigh helped me switch to an easier-to-use software :Hehe: ) so it costs more and is more fiddley to get started than using the free sites.

all you need to do is create your webpage in either a site developer programme like frontpage or dreamweaver, or even just in notepad (altho for notepad you would need to know how to code in html, the other prgrammes can do all that for you with you just dropping pics in and writting what you want, i think frontpage is more basic then dreamweaver (which is what i use .. dreamweaver that is)) .. once you have done that, you simply save it to your pc in a file, making sure everything for your page is in that file and then upload it to your bigpond server via your member section of their site. i'm with iprimus and it's really easy ..

this is the one i started (after i pulled down my finished one) and never bothered to finish .. (i got lazy!) 5 little ducks (http://home.iprimus.com.au/gnomehill/)

if i can help in any way .. b all means, let me know :)

Angie I have a website at piczo. It's free. You can upload 200 pics but the more people you get visiting your site the more pics you can upload. My web link is in my signature and you click on the join piczo link. It's easy as. Gemma and I set one up for her today.

For a personal website, you could have someone develop one for you eg: I did one for a friend and they have paid a small amount for hosting it.

Alternatively, you can use the free ones... Bravenet is another company that has free websites... do a search for bravenet and you'll find it. It's very easy to use and they have standard templates and all you do is choose the pages you want and fill them in.

My professional one (for my business) I designed in Dreamweaver and I've bought my domain and hosting package.

Good luck :)

Google has a nifty page creator (http://www.pages.google.com/) that is really easy to use and doesn't have nasty ads like some of the other free hosts.

We will be selling Blog and site packages like I set up for Patric and Barbar in the store when it up and running.

I have used Homestead since 1998. I had absolutely no knowledge of site building and found it brilliant to use and its is all self explanatory and user friendly and no need to know HTML etc its all click and drag.
They have free sites available or you can upgrade to deals like I have which allow me to run up to 60 different websites etc.

I also use an offshoot of theirs called Photosite to load up photo albums online. Again there is a free option as well as paid ones.

A couple of my friends use and recommend http://spaces.msn.com/
they said its really easy to set up your profile and load diary entries and photos etc.

I use microsoft front page.. LOL, so easy peasy..

My little crappy site (which needs updating) can be found here (http://mel.rockoweb.com) (dont worry, its not a business one at all, just a muck about really, if I am not allowed the link, its ok to remove it)
