I think Gina will be the one to ask..or Christine..she is from the states too..

Although I have read somewhere that over there they are more likely to use canned pumpkin in their pies....not sure about that though???

I use both canned and mashed.. we dont always have fresh pumpkins avaliable here,,

Do you have pumpkins all year round?

I guess we don't because they are so needed for halloween.

next to Rhubarb Pie, Pumpkin Pie is my favorite..

We dont have any of the jack o lanterns.

But this is great fun..

we usually carve them a few days before Halloween, and set them on the porch with candles in them. The we toss them out about a day or so after. They start to get mushy and moldy.

Some people use the inside to make pies, others roast the seeds and eat them..

I find it so interseting how everyone seems to eat pumpkin so often.. I know it is soo good and good for you.. but I never get into the mood for it till Autumn

Well how about this oCT 31st, you guys get some pumpkins to carve and set them out on your porch with candles.. It is so fun getting all mushy.. and maybe you could take some candy to the neighbors and ask them to give it to Ty and Gav when you bring them by...

Wait you are in opposite seasons.. what time of year would that be? Spring?
