What would you do if you were invited to friends house for dinner and they served your least favourite food?
Would you eat it or tell them you don't like it?

I would hope they knew me well enough to know I didn't like it and wouldn't cook it inm the first place LOL If that did happen I'd tell them, but I'd eat it too but just the once

I agree Angie..if they were real friends then they would have some idea of my likes and dislikes ..and no if I didnt like it then I am afraid I just wouldn't eat it.

I think they would ask what I liked first. I know I would.

If it was someone I didn't know very well, I'd probably eat it, or at least enough of it to be polite. If I did know them well, I'd hope they knew if I didn't like something that much.

Usually when I have friends over to eat I ask them what they like so I hope they would do the same, if they didnt no I dont think I could eat it.

I'm with the other's on this one. My friends know what I can and can't eat.
If I was at someone's place (like a friend of a friend's) I would eat it even if I disliked it as long as it wasn't something that made me sick.

I agree with the others. In most cases people will ask you if can't eat certain foods or I'll ask what the menu will be. If there is something I don't agree with, then I let them know but nicely.

Yes I agree with the others, if they were friends who knew you well they would know your likes and dislikes. There are not many food I dislike so it would have to be something very different for me to to refuse.

I had tthis experience one.
It was Thanksgiving and it was at my stepsister's. She did not want to make a big traditional dinner so she made Turkey pot pies. She made a veggie one for me. But she used chicken broth, so I couldn't eat it. So all I had grapes, cheese slices and the stuffed mushrooms that I brought.
It was very nice of her to make it without meat.. she tried..
But I was so upset pn the inside, I told my mom that is the last time I go to her house for Thanksgiving, and it sucked.. I am so mean.
I am use to so much food and plenty to choose from. I don't eat turkey but to not have turkey on the table at Thanksgiving with all the trimmings just is not right..
I was so hungry when I left..

I have been to dinner with my sister at her friends house and was going through my "I don't eat meat stage". my sister forgot to tell her friend and so she cook lamb cutlets with an array of vegies. She offered to make me something else and my sister said "don't be stupid she will eat what you have made or go hungry" I ate one cutlet and heaps of vegies. Her deep fried asparagus was to die for.

When my son was 9, it was just going to be the 2 of us for Thanksgiving. I planned on chicken & potatoes. Not so. My son wanted turkey with all the trimmings. He got it.

I hate eating at other peoples houses because there is so many foods I don't eat. Sometimes we warn them ahead of time what I don't eat but if its in like a stirfry or something I just don't eat certain parts and usually what I don't eat hubbie will eat.
Also if we ever have anyone over for dinner I always check with them if they eat what I am thinking of cooking etc.

Well we are going to a friends house for dinner on Friday and they said that we could all have pizza but then said, oh, you can't eat that can you.
But at least they knew me well enough to know. But I told them that they could still have pizza, I'll just bring something along for me. It's a lot easier sometimes :)
What I hate is that when friends know you can't eat certain things but cook them anyway. Very annoying. That's when I just won't eat it.

This happens to me almost every time I go to my mom's house for dinner. I've never liked pork but darned if she doesn't seem to always make it. I'm the person who hates to do something that might even slightly hurt someones feelings so whether it's mom or friends , I try to eat some anway.. I'll try to cover the flavor with whatever else is on the plate and just get thru the meal. (Last time I ate mom's pork I ended up sick as a dog the next day with a stomach flu!) lol
