I remember being really surprised to hear about the disappearance of Olivia Newton-John's boyfriend but I was even more surprised to hear he may have faked his own death. I only caught a bit of the news on MSN but it does seem pretty incredible.

Yes but it hardly sounds like enough to run away does it? Nice in theory I guess but then it would mean leaving behind all your friends and family, etc.

If you declare bankrupcy, dont you loose all your debts...? If he then owed nothing, he should have just started again...not running away.

My understanding of bankruptcy is that a % of what he earns in a job goes to pay of the debt so the person is still paying of the debt for a specific time... they cannot get a loan, apply for credit cards etc so living without the support of someone else is difficult, unless of course you've hidden all the money so you can run off somewhere and live the high life.

if you are bankrupt, depends on the amount you went bankrupt for, I dont think you have to pay any back, but you can choose to if you wish. But if you are still earning lots, then maybe you are required to pay some back. Depends where you live too I would presume.

they showed Olivia being interviewed on the "Today" program the other morning on CBS and how she is staying strong and just wants him to come home safe and sound...

well Mexico is one place you could hide, funny how he wants to go there and millions want to come into America...he must be desperate as you would have to pay me to go back there...
