Does anyone watch them?
I have no idea why I do, I can't cook to save myself. Maybe I think I will get better just by watching
I often wonder if people actually make things they see on them. I say, "Oh, I'll have to make that!" And never do.
What are your favourites?

I have to admit that I do like most of the cooking shows, I enjoy Jamie Oliver more for his antics and accent than anything he actually cooks. I do sometimes get ideas from the shows as I do enjoy cooking and am quite good at plain things if I do say so myself! :P

I adore cooking shows and I do sometimes make things or just get ideas and adapt them to things I'm cooking. I am a pretty good cook, (if I do say so myself) and I've often been told I should have been a cook, but I would hate to have to rush like they do in kitchens. I love to take my time and make lovely things and present them well.
I really like watching Geoff Jantz just because he's a bit of a nut, don't mind Jamie Oliver, cause he's cute, but I can't stand Ian Hewittson, but I still watch him..lol

I have started to watch fresh again, now that Geoff is back on, he keeps popping back up LOL. He is entertaining to watch, and has lovely eyes
I sometimes watch the UK ready steady cook, I like that guy as well (can't think of his name) Have seen part of the Australian one, and it looks terrible.
I think I have cooked one or 2 things from Huey's show, he is a little annoying, but he cooks easy things LOL.

I would love to see a cooking show where they are carrying a baby/toddler in one arm, cooking and entertaining a cranky 3 year old at the same time. All the while answering the phone, doing the dishes, toilet runs, nappy changes, etc. Now THAT'S a cooking show I'd watch - especially as I'd see that I really could make those recipe's LMAO

Yeah, I'll put my hand up as one of those who watch cooking shows but never cook from them.
Leigh, Ainsley Harriet is the host of UK Ready Steady Cook, the Aust version is pretty bad.
I'll watch most cooking shows, I enjoy cooks who enjoy their craft with a passion eg Rick Stein ( I love the scenic views and country side)

We watch either Fresh or one of the Huey shows most days - not for me, I can't stand cooking shows, and I am never going to make anything from them - but Hugo loves them. I don't know why, maybe because it's just one person talking. He often carries on a conversation with the television, it's cute.
(I don't let him watch much television, but I think a few minutes here and there won't do too much damage. Will it?)

I like to check out the segment on Bert Newton on Fridays when Gabrielle Gate is on. He always makes the yummiest desserts. I've used a few of his ideas with my own cooking. I also don't mind Ready Steady Cook, I've only seen the Aussie version so I have nothing to compare it too. But some of those chef's have got delicious ideas and always seem to make me very hungry after watching it.

Sometimes I watch Aussie Ready Steady Cook. I am not really into cooking shows because it just makes me hungry and I can never remember how to do it :pam:
