My parents either feed the dog at the same time as them, or put him in the laundry :)

Also, they do not give in - ever (or so they say! lol). Though they do give the dog any leftovers.

Whenever we are there, the dog sits under the kids chair & gets fed by them ;)

I had a Staffy x years ago and they certainly do like to eat. I would recommend never feeding your dog from the table because it just creates a really bad habit which can be hard to break. It's usually best to only feed the dog in his/her bowl or when you are giving them a food treat when you are training them.

I would either lock the dog in another room at mealtimes or put the dog outside and feed him/her at the same time as the family sits down to eat.

I have a staffy and my mum has a staffy too, my staffy is really really fussy with his food but my mum's dog is a pig!!! Mum had to take her to the vets and they put her on a weight watchers diet!!! My mother couldn't eat in the house and if she went to sneak a snack and her dog heard the cupboard open she was there with that "I am starving" look.....they are such beautiful sooks....
