i cooked a lambshank recipe the other night, and it wanted me to cook everything in a casserole pot on the stove, cook it then whack it in the oven to cook .. the only casserole pot i have is ceramic so i didnt do that, i ended up having to transfer and fuss around ..

any ideas where i would find a casserole pot that i can cook on the stove with? and what it would be made of?

I have a scanpan square frying pan(got it on spec but still cost heaps) it has a domed lid. I use it on the stove and in the oven(make my brownies in it)so I can start things on the stove then transfer to oven no probs. I got tired of having to find different pots and pans for things. One pan for everything now.

yo, where did you get it from? i'll have to have another look in bigW and target but last time there was nothing i would trust to put in the oven. i'm heading into bris on wednesday and will try to hunt something down then.

oo I laybyed one at "House" the handle just clips off and you can pop it in the oven, and you just clip it back on to take it out too.

I've only used mine a few times, and yeah, the handle is ok, but I still like to use a glove to hold the other side too.
