I love potato bake, haven't had it for ages.

Hope the cake turns out nice. You can use whatever kind of icing you like. I usually do a choccy one.

Hey Angie what all goes in your potato bake? Is it like our scalloped potatoes? We make ours with potatoes, ham or turkey, grated cheese, little flour & milk for thicking & seasoning. Yours does look yummy! Enjoy.

It's thinly sliced potato and diced bacon made into layers starting with tato then bacon and the top layer is tato too. The sauce stuff is thickened cream and a jar of cream cheese spead put in the microwave for 3 mins, the pour that over the tato and then I sprinkle with grated cheese, it's nice and creamy and cheesy and sooooo yummm and very filling too. Sometimes we eat it on its own or sometimes we have sausages too :D

looks yum angie i make mine with cream a little milk and french oinion soup sachet and a little garlic and use spuds,onion bacon and cheese. i am going to try with the jar of cream cheese next time sounds great, looks yum!:yes:

My potato bake is so simple as well and most people like it, I slice the half cooked potatoes and also layer it with bacon and onions and make a white sauce to pour over it then sprinkle it with cheese......I might just have to make that for dinner tonight ....LOL :thewave:
