I have started to read a book called 'Hurry up and meditate'.
Its looks really interesting and I want to learn how to do it, it sounds so good for your body and your soul.
Do you meditate or been curious about it?
if you do, how did you learn? Do you do it every day? Have it found it beneficial?
As a part of some depression counselling I've listened to some CDs about mindfullness - the Zen art of meditation. Occasionally it works if anxiety kicks in around large groups; but I don't practice I just try to remember what the dude went on about incessantly.

Well yes,I did it a lot in the late sixties.
I still take time occassionally to just sit and reflect on things now. Usually in the early morning.

I do yoga and meditation every Tuesday morning. I have found it really helpful. I am under a bit of stress at the moment and it is definately beneficial for me. My sister, however, finds it a little hard to "disconnect' herself like that..

Don't know if I would call it meditations, but every morning I spend at least an hour in my 'chill' room, with background music - I read, contemplate.... fuzz my doggies.... write my journals and so on - kinda gets me psyched for the day i guess :)

I've thought about it and I guess I've sorta done it a few times. Really though, I just do positive thinking. I'm not sure how much that counts. It really does help though.
It's amazing how strong our minds are!

I'm a firm believer in the power of positive thinking.....it can keep traffic lights green. LMAO
I do have a meditation CD that sometimes helps with sleeplessness....and I use similar at work to help the residents relax.

I totally believe in positive thinking..it is amazing what you can achieve when you believe you can. If people dont understand my way of thinking I just say I am using that part of my brain that most people don't use.:D

Oh  - its remaining in that state/frame of mind that I have difficulty in, particularly when things are "crashing" in and around me
