Do you leave feedback for everyone?
I have a woman harassing me because I haven't left her feedback for a transaction. I wasn't too pleased with the purchase, I found her auction very misleading in the products description. She posted feedback to say the item had been posted, but it took a week to get 20mins down the road  . In these sorts of situations I feel that if you haven't go anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
If it was really bad, sure, I would leave a negative. I have not left feedback for a few transactions, for minor reasons. I have never needed to leave a negative feedback, and have no gotten any myself.
Feedback is voluntary and her harassing me and being rude about it gives me even more reason not to give her any, its obviously pissing her off LOL

Can you leave neutral feedback? Saying the item arrived in tact, or something?

Hi Leigh,
As you said; it is not compulsory to leave feedback. I think if you left even neutral feedback sounds like you might end up in a slanging match with this lady,as she has been rude already, I think I would ignore her.
If she persists; say if she is prepared for neutral feedback you will leave it as you think the item description was misleading, follow up with a warning if she persist in being rude and harasses you; you will leave negative feedback. I think you are doing her a favor/giving her the benefit of the doubt by not leaving any feedback as in this situation , in all honesty positive feedback was not warranted...
I have always left feedback with my purchases, one I wanted to leave neutral as I was appalled at the way it was packaged. It was a snugi baby carrier and it was posted in the box it came in, no wrapping paper or anything, just my addy pasted on the box on a scrap of paper. The box was falling apart and the carrier could have easily fallen out and gone missing in the post. However I did give a positive, it was my first purchase, and the item was in excellent condition in spite of the poor packaging.. If it happened to me now I most likely would have still left a positive but would have commented on the poor packaging.
I have had one lady not leave feedback for me, I think she just forgot as I paid promptly, she doesn't seem to sell much on ebay, I did send a friendly email asking her could she leave feedback, however I truly think she just isn't round at the moment..

I have to admit it does annoy me a bit if someone doesn't leave me feedback, especially as I always make a point of leaving feedback for others and I don't think there would ever be a reason for someone to not be happy with a transaction. I always pay for things pretty much straight away and I always describe things well, including providing photos and I always make sure it's packaged appropriately.
I haven't ever needed to leave anything but positive feedback though, because I've been extremely happy with all my transactions, both selling and buying.
I have only had one woman not give me feedback and I think she was annoyed with me, because I wouldn't pay for the item she bought from me to be posted overnight. I was quite prepared to do it, if she paid extra but I didn't see why I should have paid for it, and dip into the already small profit I made on the item.

Oh and I meant to say....
If I wasn't happy about a certain aspect of the sale, and I thought it was a deliberate act, then I would definately email the person and mention it to them, and depending on their reaction, I would consider leaving a neutral feedback, to warn others.

I am an infrequent purchaser only (have never sold anything). I buy so rarely that I have always left feedback (well, I have two pending but I am waiting on receiving the items before I leave feedback). I've never had to leave negative or even neutral - I think I'd be inclined to contact them by email first and try to resolve it that way or just leave it.
I wouldn't mind if someone didn't leave me feedback - probably because I don't sell so it's not like my 'reputation' is as important as if I was a seller. And if someone hassled me too much about leaving feedback, I'd be less inclined to want to do it IYKWIM.

Some people are amazing aren't they! I had one guy send me the rudest email. He had won the item on the sunday, and paid on the monday. Wednesday he emails me asking where the hell his item was. Must have thought I had magic postage fairies or something
I have left more feedback, than I have had left for me. There are some people that just don't or forget or what ever.
If I am the seller, then I will as soon as payment has been made.
It's only been 3-4 auctions that I haven't been 100% happy with, due to really rude people and or items not what I expected. And it's generally these types of people that would leave you a negative feedback just to piss you off, which is why I aviod saying anything. If i felt the person was a reasonably nice person, I would contact them first.
I am proud of my feedback, and try to be a good buyer/seller. I just expect others to do the same.
I emailed this woman to asked where my item was, had there been a delay, as she had said it had been posted a week before. I was nice about it. Her only reply was I am not responsible for australia post losing things, sorry I can't help you.
I dare say I will get a 3rd email from her before the 90 days are up
As a seller, I always leave feedback as soon as I'm paid, I don't worry about waiting to make sure they leave me positive feedback first.
As a buyer, as soon as I receive my "present" from the postie, I always leave feed back immediately.
I just checked and I have left feedback for 99, but only have a rating of 68 ;(
So far I have had all good experiences.

I leave feedback when I receive my items. I have had 98% good dealings, the other 2% were average. At the end of the day you rely at lot on seller honesty. I don't sell, I'm too lazy.
