I'm afraid we are not having much luck with our pet cats at the moment. :( First poor Barnabus goes missing (still is missing) and now little Cornelius is really ill. He has been pooping everywhere which is really unlike him as he has always used the litter tray right from day one. Then this morning i noticed that his poo had blood in it. I took him straight to the vet (40mins away) and he said that he thinks he has Feline Enteritis (sp?) and that besides giving him antibiotics there is nothing else we can do but try and nurse him through it but unfortunately most little kittens die from it.
He seems very alert and is still eating so I hope thats a good sign. He was booked in to have his needle for that very sickness this week but looks like we might be too late.
Poor little Corny :(

Thanks Monty. We were told that Cornelius was about 8 weeks when we got him a few weeks ago. The vet seems to think he might be up to 14 weeks old and they just said he was younger because they didnt want to have to pay for him to have his needles. If I had known how old he was I would have booked him in sooner.

Aww that's so sad. Hopefully little Cornelius can get better and that Barney will show up safe and sound.
You must be so worried about the two of them.

Thanks Jewly....fingers crossed. Corny is running around wanting to play tonight so that makes me a bit more hopeful.

Patrica I'm so sorry to hear such sad news. I actually flicked through the posts hoping to find a post from you saying you'd found Barnabus. ;(
Give little Cornelius a cuddle for me, sending lots of positive thoughts and hugs to you

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Thank-you everyone for your good wishes, it looks like they could be working. Cornelius is alot brighter today, not pooping too much and has a good appetite. I have been told not to get my hopes up to high just yet so I guess we will just have to wait a little longer and see how he goes. Thanks again you all made me feel alot better.
Patricia :)

Cornelious update! He appears to be getting better every day. Wanting to run around and play early this morning, eating frequently and pooping less and less so I am happy with his progress today :):)
On the downside still no Barnabus, I have been thinking that maybe poor Barney was sick as well (even tho he has had his needle?) and maybe he went away to die? Poor Barney :(

I really hope Barnabus comes home for you... I don't know if cats go away to die?? I would have thought they would stay/come back home. I'm sorry Patricia :( I really do hope he comes home soon, I would be in a right state. Sending you lots of

Hi Patricia, how's Cornelius doing? I hope much better and full of life :) I'm sorry to hear about Barney :( My mum has just gone thru the same experience that one of her cats is missing too :( It's very sad when that happens because they are part of the family.
I hope Barney comes back home soon :)
