Melinda, i spoke to my SIL a few nights ago & that is the one she was on for about 10 months, she said the meals were okay although small servings & then she started to gain again & decided to go back to the LnE meals but found they were not at all the freshest so instead of complaining as most would she just gave them a miss. She said she thought if she complained they may think she was trying to get freebies (i thought that was a silly attitude)
Good luck with it all Melinda you will do well with your positive attitude

Melinda
16-07-2010, 07:21 PM
there is a lot of frozen food with it.....

Mad Old Cow
16-07-2010, 08:13 PM
Melinda i think it was the fruit that she found not fresh

Melinda
16-07-2010, 08:22 PM
oh..okay.

i guess you could just get the dinners...
it depends on where your problem lies with meals...
i think in a few weeks i will make my own breakfast, as i have always eaten ceral anyway.

Mrs B

Mrs B
16-07-2010, 09:29 PM

I have only heard good things about *Lite 'N Easy* and know of a few people that have tried it and swear by it........:D

Melinda please excuse my ignorance but for a long time I thought you were a sahm&w and am now interested in what work you do???

Mad Old Cow
17-07-2010, 03:57 AM
Melinda, i know what you mean about getting your own cereal, just watch your serving potions, take note of the weight of the L&E ones & stay with the same weight as theirs

jenr
17-07-2010, 07:46 AM
What is Lite and easy? A diet program?

Heather
17-07-2010, 08:11 AM
A weeks worth of meals are delivered to you door Jen....portion and calorie controlled. Definitely a bonus when you are tired and you just reach into the fridge and heat it up in the microwave.

jenr
17-07-2010, 08:55 AM
Gee I would be interested to see how you go Mel I suppose its expensive?

Melinda
17-07-2010, 09:28 AM
Gee I would be interested to see how you go Mel I suppose its expensive?

about $150 for the week, but when i think about what i was spending on takeaways.....(sigh)
i am ordering DH and DD some main meals which we will just top up....

Naomi
17-07-2010, 11:14 AM
That's for all meals and snacks? I ordered a bunch of frozen dinners while S is away. They are better than the supermarket ones, cost a bit more (around $8 a dinner I think) but definitely cheaper than take away! This week instead, I ordered some meals from gourmet dinner service (someone suggested it recently when I asked about L&E). I love it - they aren't full meals on a plate, more like a specific dish that you reheat in the oven and add your own veges or salad (or can order from them as well). They are big enough for 2 serves so I can get a left-over for lunch the next day. It does cost more, but is much tastier (IMO). It is not calorie controlled (though they do offer that option), so it's a different category of frozen meal but it really suits me at the moment.

Melinda
17-07-2010, 12:46 PM
yes Naomi it covered everything i couldnt eat all that was given, there was extra mini meals if you were hungry and i havent opened any of them DD will eat them....

all i have bought is skim milk.

A few girls at work get that as well. They live alone and like not having to cook and the lunches are good as well because they dont have to think about it.

SIL tried it once but complained to them that she wnted to hace more than 2 cans of diet coke a day. She gave up and went back to her 48 can slab a week habit.

Iv always wanted to do it but I think then I still have ot cook dnner for DF and DS so it kind of defeats the purpose.

Good luck with it.

I find it amusing that she actually rang tem to complain that her diet plan didnt allow for her usual amounts of chocolate and coke. I think the person on the other end of that call would have had a good laugh as well.

I thnk as long as you dont stray too far from the dietary plan a choccie or meal out every now and then is fine. If you chastise yourself over every indulgent then the diet wont work. As part of a healthy eating plan a choccie would not be frowned upon.
