I had heard friends talk about how great this book is and then the movie...well, in the airport I bought it yesterday and just CAN'T put it down! I used to read ALL THE TIME and just haven't been giving it time lately. I think it has regenerated my interest. Ya'll should check it out. Its girly, fun to read, and talks about my favorite thing--clothes!

I struggle to find the time to read books at the moment :(

I'll wait for the movie...Glad you're enjoying though, nothing quite like a good book is there?..:)

I can second that opinion - my sister lent it to me a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it too.

It was doing the rounds on the Contiki bus in America...so I read it then, very easy to read and good story, I think the movie should be good, I like Meryl Streep (though I can't see her being a bitch) the clothes sound amazing, I heard on Entertainment Tonight that they had this huge budget just for the clothes and that Anne Hathaway got to keep a few things!

Alexa. Wow. I can't imagine all of the BEAUTIFUL clothes we will see in the movie. Lucky Anne Hathaway. I, too, love Meryl Streep and am really looking forward to seeing the movie. I couldn't imagine her being a bitch, either, but in the previews, it looks like she is pretty good at it! :)

Oh, I hate that too. When you read a fantastic book and then the movie just doesn't do it justice. I have a feeling both will be great, though. I mean, I have never seen Meryl Streep in a movie that wasn't great. :)

Have to agree, Meryl is one of the actress you could watch in anything...loved her in Out of Africa...and of course Robert Redford...they just don't make actors these day like they used too!!! LMAO

Susan Sarandon is another...there is a great article in this months Womens Weekly about her (the one with Oprah on the front)...

and Debroh Lee Furness (the wife of the most divine man on the planet)...hint he sang at Nic's wedding???

Oh, I really adore Susan Sarandon as well. Supposedly she has a house in the mountains around Breckenridge, but I have never spotted her.

Now who is this? "Debroh Lee Furness (the wife of the most divine man on the planet)"

Sang at Nic's wedding? I need another hint! :help:
