We had pasta for the first time since being in China and it wasnt noodles either - real italian pasta. We found a place which sells it and we made our own tomato sauce - it made such a change from chinese food and it was delicious.

We had steak casserole...with teryaki sauce as the base, it was delish. It had new potatoes, corn, tin mushies, carrot, cauliflower and brocolli in it and it was yummo. Jaimee had seconds and Aiden pigged out to...that's after he had his own dinner of spag bol and custard for dessert!

Here you go Naomi
Its my own recipe and i just have it scibbled on a piece of paper and im not sure exactly how much i use of everything, i kinda just throw it all in :P
Spinach, Ricotta & Pumpkin Lasagne
Mushrooms
Bunch of spinach
garlic - lots of it!!!
Zucchini
Tin of four bean mix or lentils
250g tub of ricotta cheese
250g tub of natural plain yoghurt
grated cheese
Jap pumpkin
Lasagne sheets
Tin diced tomatoes
mixed herbs
1 onion
s & p
dash wistorchire sauce
Sauce-
Cook onion and garlic in frypan till brown
add mushrooms, zucchini, four bean mix, tin tomtoes, spinach, wistorchire sauce, herbs, salt and pepper.
Dice pumpkin and boil, microwave or bake until soft, then mash. (DONT add to sauce mix).
Cheese sauce -
in a saucepan mix ricotta and natural yoghurt until warmed, then add cheese to taste, stir until cheese melted.
Alternate layers of sauce, lasagne, cheese sauce and pumpkin, finishing with cheese sauce and a sprinkle of parmasen cheese.
Easy, healthy and yummy! Hope it makes sense!!:)

Sausages..I know boring and uninviting but I don't care ..I want them and I am having them. If Callum or Adam come into my kitchen and moan about the menu I will quite simply stab a fork through their hands at the very first opportunity!

Naomi I use oven bags ,have you tried them?
Naomi
22-07-2006, 09:21 PM
No ... you put the meat in them? I just put it on a roasting pan and hope for the best:headh:
yomamma
22-07-2006, 09:28 PM
yeah you put in some flour shake it about then put the meat in and tie up the opening. keeps all the juices in and cooks in less time. You find them in the same section as glad wrap and foil. Be careful when opening because of the steam.
