Based on the novel by - Colin Thiele
I can remember seeing this when in my early teens and loved it, bought DVD last week and my kids (8&3) have just finised watching it for the 5th time :hehe: They love it too, 8yr old because it is a story based on the life of a coorong fishermans son and filmed in the Coorong SA, that's were we are  There are still fisherman huts all along the coorong and people still live in them  (not an easy life) It realy is a true recap of living on the Coorong, soooo glad we aren't fisher- persons :hehe:
Storm Boy lives with his recluse father on South Australia's lonely and beautiful coast. Here his free spirit roams with his pet pelican, Mr Percival, and his secret Aboriginal friend, Fingerbone Bill. He knows no other world.
As he grows up, Storm Boy is forced to choose between a life of sontinued isolation and the challenges of the outside world.
