They have brought out a new improved version of Monopoly. No more money, you use Visa debit cards now! How cool is that LOL They have made some other modern enhancements. Might have to get us one.

Wow!! The new version sounds like fun! Its hard to imagine that soon kids won't remember counting monopoly money...to be honest...as a greedy little kid, it was my favorite part!! LMAO

Maybe I will have to ask for this for Xmas...$70 is a bit much for me to spend ON MY OWN for a game! :)

:hehe: Buy it as a gift for Matt, Carolyn, then you can justify the cost!

LOL sure is a sign of the times..and I agree it will be sad to think we will have future generations growing up never having experienced playing with Monopoly money.

Interesting point Tina. I do sometimes wonder if Hugo will ever understand the concept of paying with money ... when we go to the supermarket and whatever, I use card (EFTPOS) so he thinks that's how you pay for things. I have recently started giving him coins to pay for a small item occasionally and he thinks it's a great novelty, handing over the coins to pay.

I do the same - I give Emilia the taxi money so she can give it to the driver. As soon as she sees a taxi she says money so she understands the concept now at 15 months.

I love monopoly money...but it might be fun with visa cards too...nah the fun part is taking your apponents money...watching it disappear from their pile infront of them...cashing in smaller notes for the big 500...I'll stick to cash money too....
