Do you have any things you and your family like to do together on a regular basis?

One of our favourites, tho it doesn't sound so exciting. Is we all hop into bed of a Sunday morning (it's becoming a bit of a tight squeeze LOL) The kids bash up Dad, and we lay around having a chat about any old thing. It's nice to catch up on everything that's been happening, and the things that come out of kids mouths can be so funny LOL

We also have been going to the in-laws every Sunday night for dinner, the kids really look forward to that.

On birthdays & special occasions we all climb into bed & open presents :)

Every morning the boys curl up in bed with us & have a cuddle with me (DH tries to ignore it!!)

Adam has started a ritual now for my birthday. As my birthday is on Christmas eve we usually wait up for the clock to strike midnight on the 23rd December \ to get my presents so that at least my special day seems not quite so close to Christmas!

My family and I don't celebrate birthdays, xmas or easter so we have a gift day instead which is usually one day of the year where we get to spoil each other rotten. Its lots of fun, we usually get each other heaps of gifts and go out for lunch and do something recreational afterwards. I always look forward to it :)

We used to do the Sunday morning thing too but the kids are getting a bit big now and my bed doesn't really fit 7 LMAO

On mine and hubbys birthday the other half gets up and makes brekky in bed for the birthday person and when its finished all the kids climb up on the bed for pressie time- its a bit of a squeeze tho lol

I used to go for dinner at my parents place every Friday night. We don't do it any longer as my parents live in a nursing hostel now.

Usually for my birthday, Trev and I go away somewhere. Sometimes just a short trip a few days away in the car but my biggest surprise was my 30th birthday trip to Hawaii.

And we visit Trev's family on the Sunshine Coast usually early December.

I'd really like to get into some family rituals now we have the children. About the only one we have at the moment is always eating ribs, corn & baked potatoes when the State of Origin is on. Nothing too exciting about that...but it's a start.

Our kids always jumped into bed with us when they lived at home, and even now, as big as they are, they still do it when they visit!! lol. Our oldest is 26!

Birthdays and Christmas was always really special. They would come into our bed on their birthdays to get their presents, and all the kids would get into our bed, while we watched. Christmas morning they would get their stocking off the end of their bed, and bring it into our bed to open it. That was always the first thing they did! They would wait till everyone was there, before getting stuck into it. :) Gosh I miss those days! :(

As they got older, another ritual was started on a Saturday! We would buy snack foods (dip biscuits, dips, pickled onions, cheese, cabanossi, popcorn, fruit and nuts etc.) and hire out video's. We would all sit around in the living room eating snack foods and watching movies all afternoon, then we would play games (board games) or darts or something before tea. The kids loved their saturdays. :)

As a famiily, me, Stu and Zoe haven't really got any yet....we do some things from his family, and some from mine, but would love to get some of "our own" happening! I think it's nice, I want Zoe to grow up and remember stuff like i do. Just have to figure out what! :P
