Hi Girls,

Ok, we have the "do you make the bed" thread.. LOL here's the "how do you make it?" thread (well, when you finally do :P )

I lay the doona cover on the bed and carefully shove the doona inside.. I actually climb in the cover (that must look pretty funny) and make sure the corners are in the corners and it's basically sitting right, before wriggling backwards out of the cover, picking the whole thing up and giving it a good shake. I have a King bed and it really &*^%# me off when I do all that only to realise it's the wrong way around! And have to take it out and start again! (King doon'a are almost square grrr)

I went through a stage a while back of not putting a top sheet on the bed.. (just doona and fitted sheet) but hoggy Bra kept stealing the doona ..or it kept sliding off the bed. So the top sheet is back. Was good whilst it lasted made bed making so easy LOL.

I have 4 pillows, 1 European Pillow, 2 small cushions and a roll cushions on the bed ..and no way can I bring myself to toss them on any old how.. I have to arrange them in a special way too look good

When I do actually do it LOL I have to admit that I am a bit like you Pam and have to have all the pillows looking "just right!"

we just have a fitted sheet and doona. I put the doona cover on starting with it inside out, match the bottom corners up and then pull it in the right way, over the actual quilt (if that makes sense?).

We just have normal pillows, I have two, he has one. He puts the sheet and pillow cases on while I do the quilt. It takes about 4 minutes all up, unless the cats 'help'

LMAO..Trust you to do it the hard way. Can just picture you :Hehe:

I do it with the cover inside out first too, and just a fitted sheet, no flat.

 OMG I have been climbing inside the &*%# thing for the past 25 years!!! Bra always has a giggle if he walks in and catches me farting around inside the cover.

LOL Pam...don't worry, you're not alone!! I use to climb inside it too until my hubby showed me the way Naomi does it (inside out)!! He laughed at me when he first saw me do it! I was so embarassed!!

I also have 5pillows and a "curve" pillow! Hubby has 4pillows and i have one with the curved one...or we fight over the curved one!!!

You girls crack me up....I can just see Pam and Michelle getting stuck inside their doona cover, not being able to get out again...lol

I just have a fitted sheet and a doona, and 4 pillows...all to myself. Some days I make the bed and other days I can't be bothered.

I lay my doona cover down on the bed, tightly grab both top corners, and shove them into their right corners of the doona, and clutch both the doona and cover together and then give it a good shake to get most of the doona in. Then I lay it down, and do the same with the bottom corners. I'll have to try doing it the 'inside out' way though.

The inside out way makes sense, because when you pull it off to wash it, it comes off inside out, and you don't need to turn it back in the right way to put it back on.

I just tried in inside out way of putting doona in the cover and it didn't work for me. I just reverted back to the old way. Maybe because it was king size. I cannot believe how much harder it is to do everything when it is king sized. Pam you're gonna have to show me the inside out way next time I visit. LOL
