A TEENAGE girl has died of meningococcal disease and a young man has been taken to hospital with the disease in Sydney prompting a health alert.

This is a horrible disease...a young six year old girl from my girls school died of this a couple of years ago. It was so sad and scarey...

When the kids were in primary school a close friend of theirs contracted this hideous disease..because I was working with their class at the time and because I have a compromised immune system (Cal too) we all had to be treated with antibiotics to ensure we didnt catch it too...very scarey time ..

Thankfully the little boy made a full recovery :)

That is so SAD :(

"If the public health system had gone about this in the right way none of this would have happened," Mr Khouzame said.

"We should've all been isolated and not allowed to see anyone – if we had been none of this would've happened."

The hospital has a lot to answer for...

Terrible for the families involved...

That is just awful! You are right, Alexa...the hospital has a BIG problem to answer to!
