I saw this last night...
Excellent, really well done, cannot say enough how good it is...
Excellent cast, top story, and yes very American...
Not sure if it will be everyone's cup of tea...but I loved it.
Aaron Eckhart, William H Macy, Maria Bello and Robert Duvall
Eckhart's Nick Naylor is a man who could sell snow to Eskimos, talks about reversing the ban against cigarettes in movies and so Rob Lowe comes into it and how to get Catherine Zeta-Jone and Brad Pitt to light up in outer space.
Then there is Katies Holmes (who I have no idea why she was cast in this role as a journalist) cause she has no crediabilty (now that is my opinion) he has a one night stand with her and well she being a journalist she betrays him.
Is based on the noval by Christopher Buckley.
There are some wicked jokes and you can get the sense of how big corporations stay ahead of the law; by alternately using the law and in the form of campaign contributions, by circumventing it. Few Aussies will think it doesn't happen here after seeing this which I think gives the movie extra sting...
