Just a warning for those that use MSN messenger. Be careful when clicking links sent to you. Even people in your friends list.
There is a virus sending messages, that appear to be from someone in your contact list promting you to click a link, With messages like..
__name__ says:
guess what i found h t t p: // w w w.cartoonsite.com/file
__name__ says:
i guess i won the bet...
__name__ says:
oops, sorry im talking to wrong person
------

hey, I didn't know you worked there?? then a link
------

f***er...you didn't tell me you were in this pic then a link

There are probably others, but thought I would warn you. Because even after reading warnings yesterday, I still clicked one LOLOL. Lucky I realised straight after I was an idiot and closed the browser.

Think I shall stick to yahoo LOL

Thanks for the warning Leigh.

I got one of these years ago, when I was talking to my then b/f. I clicked on the link which said something like 'Do you want to see some pics I took yesterday' and pretty much straight away Norton's picked it up as a virus. I also noticed that it was an .exe file and it was written in a different colour to what my b/f was using, but I really did think it was from him to start with, cause we had just been talking about photos.

Thanks Leigh. As if MSN wasn't annoying enough already!!

Jewly, Yes, I must say it is a clever way of distributing it. I clicked without thinking. Peoples curiosity gets the better of them.

Monty, Yeah, I can't say I am a fan on it, much prefer Yahoo. I also find it hogs a lot of system resources. If I have my all my web software open, I can still easily chat with a few people on yahoo without too much trouble. But just having MSN on slows things down a lot, and if I have a chat window open, I have no hope.
It's also ugly LOL, and yahoo smilies are much better ;)

LOL, I've stopped using MSN, it wastes too much time

I don't tend to click on links unless I know what it's about :)

Thanks for the warning. I was at work yesterday & desperately wanted to ask you about something & kept checking msn to see if you'd come on. LOL.
