Do you wear a one piece bathing suit, a 2 piece (long top) or bikinis?

I was given a Bra's N Things voucher for my birthday and it is going towards a new swimming outfit. I am just unsure at this stage what to get.

I am going to go and see what they have got on Monday, when the boys are back at school.

I wear a one piece or a tankini (long top) atm, but if I had your body Barbar, I'd seriously consider a bikini ;)

A two piece is much easier for using the loo

you are all lucky to even think about swimmers.
i just don't go in the water for 1 i can't swim & for 2 honestly i don't have the body for swimmers i wouldn't be seen in the back yard in them.
my legs are covered in veins & celulite, my boobs are huge & my belly matches my boobs, hey stop lol i can hear you all. i have only been like this for 8 years & thats when i gave up smoking, bloody hell, & people ask if i feel better for not smoking, well you can guess my answer lol

i honestly wish i had that outlook jo, but i don't even like to look at myself
my stepdaughter tells me to get board shorts & a Tshirt which i did but i just feel silly in them, & she is too nice to tell me that they look awfull but, my own daughter would tell me straight away i think she would rather see me sweating & covered, then cool in board shorts lol
but thanks for the support jo

I wear mostly one pieces but before I gained weight I loved two pieces. Once I have lost my weight (only 16 lbs to go!) I will buy myself a much too expensive and beautiful two piece and FLAUNT IT! :y:

They had nothing there I liked :(

I found a really nice one in another shop but someone had swapped the sizes around so they didn't have my size. Am going out again tomorrow morning to see what I can find at another store.

And Gina, I am happy to take a pic so long as I am NOT in it :hehe:

I use to wear a bikini (brief one) but never the top of it! We always went to topless beaches. (naughty Bev)

I don't have anything to swim in atm but I think a Tankini is a really good idea especially for people who are not the right size. I mean, I'm a 10DD cup but a size 8 bottom. Oh and I wouldn't feel comfortable in a bikini these days.

I truly believe you should wear what you're comfortable in. Bugger what people say or think. Life is way too short to worry about things like that just because we're all supposed to look like stick insects. Be yourself and be happy.

I dont wear anything....by that I mean I dont swim! I watch the kiddies. If I play with the kids in the kiddy pool out back I will wear what ever I have on in the back yard. If I go to the pool itself I dont go swimming - cant swim AND watch all the young ones at the same time....

I hate 1 piece they make me look like I have NO boobs what so ever. I have a bikini but will not be going anywhere in it until I look good enough to not scare anyone away with my jubbly bum and thighs lol.

Telori, is that right you can't swim?
i can't swim, thats why hubby & i take the 2 grandsons to swim lessons every week ( heated pool) my daughter has just moved to the lake so her 5 yr old has to know how to swim it's right at their back door.
our sons 6 yr old can swim but we were taking him for lessons to because he had to get the art of breathing while swimming down pat, i reckon he will be another Ian Thorpe or one of our other great swimmers. his dad is 6ft 7 ins with size 15 shoe, & i think this little boy is going to be the same.
I'm sighning him up in cricket in oct because he loves it & i think he will be another steve waugh or one of them lol

I can swim if I have to, but I just dont like it...I love getting wet in the bath, but I dont like cold water...It's got to be really HOT for me to even test the water. I've never been into swimming...or jogging. I'm more into team activities...I use to love water aerobics though!...

And even in the middle of summertime in 40 degree heat I will have a hot bath.

Buy something you feel comfortable in Barbara:) . :bdance: .And if you feel comfortable then you will feel comfortable sharing a picture with us (with you in it):jump: :jump: .

I used to look pretty hot in a bikini as a teenager. But after 4 kids that look was dead and buried long ago. I'm not large or anything, 5'2" and 49/50kg in winter during soccer season, 54-56kg in summer (which I reached very quickly this year, there already!LMAO LMAO ). But even though I am quite small nothing hangs or sits in the right place and I suppose I compare myself with the long lost hot bod I used to have (kids have plenty to answer forLMAO ). So, I don't go near water much, more of a land lubber:y: .

So Barbara, as long as you feel good in it, you will look good, its how you wear it not what you wear.:bdance: :bdance: :bdance: :bdance: (I love these dancing bananas, I can almost taste them:hehe: )

For swimming a one piece Speedo endurance 'cos the local pool puts so much chlorine in that it literally eats the non chlorine resistant ones after 2/3 wears:argh:
Used to wear Bikinis all the time on Holidays but now im a 36C (too big -was a 34B before I put on about 13kg was happy at that size) so am a bit self consious. I was on a waterpark ride in Spain a few years back and managed to flash the whole place! Didnt realise till I spotted a bunch of kids giggling that my strapless Bikini was around my neck.

If ever I do go swimming, which is pretty rare these days, I wear a one piece with a long top or sarong.

Used to wear bikinis, when I was younger and even after I had the 2 kids. I was only a size 8 - 10 back then. Oh for those days.....hmmm
