All dressed up

When was the last time you got all dressed up? Was it for a wedding or party or even dinner?

I can't honestly remember the last time I got really dressed up. We go out for dinner occassionally but I don't really dress up for it.

I dont dress up...I try and dress nice when I go out, but depends if I have time. Oh I dressed in highish boots when I went out on our holiday (but after walking around in them all day I know why I wear flat shoes!)

I suppose I dressed upish for my job interview, makeup and all that...new skirt and shirt (bought for interviews, that I'll probably never wear again!) and heeled shoes...(just cause I am short and it gave me a bit of confidence)

I dress up a little when I go to the City, I do have a passion for nice clothes, But since Briar came onto the scene I seem to spend all my money on buying her nice clothes just can't resist those cute wee girlie things :) I do wear make up every day, wont even go to the local shop unless I have my make up on , but I am blaming that on being a hairdresser and we were not allowed on the premises unless our face nails and hair was done, now a hard habit to break

i used to love dreeing up but since i put all the weight on i never feel nice, it doesn't matter what i wear i never feel i look nice (oh poor me) shit i'm a whinger.
I'm like you Di nana i spend my spare money on the kids, clothes haircuts holidays you name it. hubby & i took the 10 & 6 year old to the gold coast a few months ago we did all the theme parks they had a ball, we stayed with my sister inlaw for the 8 days & spent 2 nights on Bribie, the kids hadn't been back there since we moved here 5 years ago, so they had fun, it's such fun being a Nanny

A Cocktail party that I attended for work in August, borrowed a dress from a friend of mine and bought some new shoes and a new evening bag...it cost me a small fortune but I had a lovely time.

Christmas time we are going on a nighttime cruise around Sydney Harbour, so will get dressed up again then.

I went to a black tie event last weekend. I treated myself to a new evening gown. It was sooooo fun to so dolled up. A group of us had a girls day out to prepare. facial, manicure and pedicure.

I was a bridesmaid in January so that would be when I really dolled up last but if I go out with friends for dinner or in town, I always dress up nicely. I dressed up extra nice for my birthday dinner at a fancy restaurant in town.

Matt and I went to that wedding at the end of August. Living in Breckenridge definitely hinders the dressing up. First of all, its a very rural area so people feel like nice jeans and a top is dressing up. People think I am dressed up all the time when I am just wearing normal clothes :) (I have never adapted to the Breck ways...I still wear my pearls everyday!)

So whenever I go out of town I do it up! We will get dressed up for the Christmas parties at work, etc.

The last time I got dressed up was for my sister's 24th birthday. We went out for dinner and I wore black slacks, white blouse and black jacket. That is about as dressed up as I would go.

I must admit I havent had a really good occasion to dress up and I miss it. I try to wear something nice every day even if I am in the house otherwise it is too easy to become lazy and forget about myself.
