We took Harry for a boat ride today, and a big run along the beach. He had a ball! Everyone wanted to meet him where ever he went, he's just so friendly & loveable. :D

He gulped down lots of sea water as he played on the beach, resulting in us learning even more about Harry ..he doesn't chew his food, not so much as a tooth mark in any of his breakfast! Oh, and had to do it in the boat didn't he! As we all went Eeeeiiiikkk :O Eeeeeeewwww buuup :eww: falling over each other in panic to get out of the firing line (btw 6 can't run far in a boat), I swear he actually grinned at us and put his nose to the wind again!

It definately sounds like he knows he is a dog that was so lucky to be rescued by a loving family! ;)

Thanks Clare :waves:

We bought him a bed the other day, I couldn't decide which bed he'd like best, so bought him both! He definately loves that red bed, he ..Umm..cough.. thinks it's his girlfirend :O

Loves his green bed too, but was more interested in that nice big new container of dog food ..he's eyeing off the smacko's LOL

It's a wonder he hasn't already tipped over his dog food container yet, being out there with him!! :Hehe:
He's a beautiful looking dog though..must have been hard for the 1st owners to give him up(?If that was the case)
He looks sooooo happy and loved, and a joy to be around.
Looks like you have found a mate for life! :)

Hi Clare,

Poor Harry was left at the pound because of a marriage break up. That's all they are allowed to tell me you know privacy act. I know that would be a terribly stressful time for everyone (including Harry) but wouldn't you make time to rehome him yourself? Wouldn't you want to interview & choose the owners he had to go to? I just don't understand how they simply dropped him off? They have no idea who has him, what became of him, just because he is a popular breed, thats no guarantee of him finding a good home... or worse , a home at all! Surely they must be wondering if he's happy and ok?

Harry has landed on his feet with you, Gra and the Burms.

How are things going with Harry and the Burms? I love the size of his biscuit barrel, won't be long before he finds out how to open it by himself...LOL

Yeah,i wonder how they came to the decision of just dumping him off at the pound!?
You would think that even if they brought the dog together, that they could have at least decided who was going to keep him.or find a home themselves for him.
How horrible that they are never going to know what has come of him,and how well off he is now,for all they know,he could have been put down!
He doesn't seem that old either..a year or 2 old i guess.Poor Harry...the things he could tell you if he could talk!
Does he show any signs of missing his 1st owners at all?
Probably not! He's struck gold with your family!*L*
Oh well, that's all in the past now..he is going to have a great life from now on!

Hi Floria,

Harry was so good tonight, first time he didn't attemp to chase the Burms. Just lay at Gra's feet. The Burms are keeping their distance tho. They don't bother hissing at him through the door anymore.

Harry is such a beautiful boy, he really had a lovely week end with his "new" Mum & Dad. Loved the photos, it really is "heart warming" seeing him having such a wonderful time, he looks so content and "at peace" after all he must have been through the last few weeks.

Hi,

Gosh, what a gorgeous boy Harry is! I too can't understand them just turning their backs on him?!

So happy for you all, what a wonderful outcome!

Love Marsha x

Mum bought Harry up to meet Bully today, and they hit if off straight away! Bully loves other dogs, so I knew they'd be fine. They had a ball, and what a great way for them to get some exercise. As I come down to the coast everyday for work, I'm going to drop Bully off at mums at least once a week :)
