What a bargain!!

I decided I would buy myself a ring to celebrate my new job, so I called into Wallace Bishop on my way back to work at lunchtime today. I didn't have a lot of time, but while I was trying a couple of rings on, the other saleswoman came up and asked me if I liked the ring she had. I loved it, but the price tag was almost $1600 and I told her I wasn't prepared to spend that much. (They were having a 25% off sale and I was hoping to get away with only spending about $300-$400).

Anyway, she goes on to tell me that this ring was specially ordered and the woman had paid for half of it but no longer wanted it and so I could have it for $850 if I wanted it. I still wasn't interested in spending even that much but then she said I could take it with me if I put $250 on it and I could pay the rest off over 6 months and there would be no additional fees or charges so I ended up agreeing to get it..

I didn't have time to finalise it all, so I just left $50 on it today and I will go back tomorrow and pick it up. It's 18 ct. gold and has all these diamonds across it and it's absolutely gorgeous. I think it was probably an engagement ring and that's actually the finger I'll be wearing it on too cause it fits perfectly and it doesnt bother me to wear rings on that finger anyway. I figure I'm never going to be given an engagement ring, so I might as well buy myself one...lol

I can't wait to get it now.

Hi girls....

Well I picked my ring up today and I love it. It's so sparkly and the picture doesn't do it justice but I wanted to try and get as much detail as I could. It has 18 diamonds in it...10 round ones and 8 rectangle shaped ones.....I don't know the technical terms for them.

I'm so glad now that I decided to get it.

I figure, that no guy has ever given me a ring, so I might as well buy myself a nice one and I work hard, so I deserve to be spoiled now and then...don't we all!!!

I also walked straight out of the jewellers and spotted this gorgeous JAG bag and it was 40% off, so I grabbed that too....

I love handbags too Monty...and shoes....and now I'm starting to get into more colours, instead of just the basic colours. I have a pair of shoes that match the bag as well, so I can't wait to wear those ones next week.

Wow your ring is spectacular, very glamerous. You deserve it. And your new bag is grand too, I luv the colour.
I actually sperged on myself on the w/e too. I bought myself some fabric to make a Poncho. Its purple knitted with little coloured bits on it, so pretty. I love ponchos, they are so practical. Not too warm, but cuddly. Hope I can do it justice with the sewing machine.

Fran...I love poncho's too, but just haven't found the right one yet. I had one as a kid and I just loved it. The material you bought sounds lovely, so make sure you show us a pick when you're finished making it up.
