View Full Version : Anti-falling (out of bed) baby blanket
I just came across this Batuffolo (http://www.ilbatuffolo.com/eng/vantaggi/index.htm) .
I can't imagine any baby being happy confined like that? And they say total freedom of movement? I've never seen anything like it? No need for a cot? What do you think?

OMG Ignore Pam, I meant the keyword went in that spot, not that the word was keyword
The real word is Fabric

Yeah, right. How long before a 12 month old figures out how to undo it? I'm happy with the cot, thank you (which actually converts to a toddler bed anyway, so I figure we saved our money there).
It just looks wrong, kind of like a straight-jacket (says she whose son is still wrapped at nine months  but honestly, he's never sleep otherwise).

It looks like a torture chamber for babies???
That baby will probably grow up hating being in confined spaces?

Maybe keep the straight jacket idea stored away until they are just a little older ;)
Like when they are about 15. Erin told me not so long ago about how she and her girlfriends caught the bus and snuck into Surfers ..I'd have ripped shreads of her if I'd known at the time LOL

OMG That is shocking I can't believe it is allowed on the market it looks so dangerous. Says from 6 months to 2-3 year olds-- I have yet to come across a 2 year old that wouldn't be able to get out of that, lulling parents into a false sense of security that their child would not be able to get out of bed.
The child would be very restricted and probably grow up with claustrophobia- a 2 year old needs to be able to move around- like roll over.
It appears the baby can only lay on tummy or back- this would also be dangerous if the child vomitted while asleep. And imagine if there was a fire and you had to get out quickly in a panic you'd have trouble getting the baby out of it.
A BIG thumbs down to the people who have allowed this to be marketted. :2c: :tyeo:
:) I'm glad there were no such things when mine were babies!! Just an old fashioned cot!! lol.

I can't see it...it says The page can't be displayed!!
By the sounds of it it's awful!! Izzy hates a blanket even been put over her let alone being strapped into something that she can't move around in!! She loves rolling over when she wants to and getting comfy!!

OMG both my girls would have screamed blue murder and then done themselves some serious harm at being restrained in a death trap like this. Doubt we'll see these sold in Oz.

UHM OK this bit concerns me...
f the child wakes up, it doesn't let him/her get out of the bed, so he/she will be protected from domestic dangers as boiling water, steep staircases etc.
Uhm what about other things we want to protect kids from such as siblings pets etc?

Ok...not an item I would purchase.
Co-sleeping works for me, with a rail on the side of my bed :D

Those elastics probably save many childen from being abducted, lost or even worse! I think they should be standard issue for any parent of any toddler entering a public area with mass occupants in the one place at the one time. I use them and I've lost count of the amount of Cashiers/sales people who've complimented me on using them - they see too many kids go 'missing' that you dont' hear about on the local media!
