We're going away for a week next month (YAY!) and Hugo will be sleeping in the portacot. It's not very comfortable, the mattress is quite hard. There is a lady who sells a padded mattress cover thing for portacots on Ebay, which I'm thinking of getting. Anyone got any ideas on this? Has anyone tried something like this? Good or bad feedback? The other alternative is to put his lamby underneath the sheet to add some padding but it doesn't cover the whole mattress and he moves around a lot.

I forget what we did  I think one time we took the cot mattress with us to put in there, but we had plenty of room to be able to do that.
I don't think we had anything special though. I wouldn't go to too much trouble getting something to put in it, unless the thing wasn't too much of a pain to use, pack etc. Or wasn't too expensive.
I'd say the lamby and maybe something under that would be enough.
