Did anyone watch House last night (ch 9)? I didn't watch it and I can't work out how to record using the digital tv thing. I also didn't really want to watch it in case one of the babies died. So can anyone give me a run-down?

We watched it, and one of the babies did die ;( Though because of that they could work out what it was and save the other 5 babies.
It was incredibly powerful stuff, especially showing the struggle all the doctors went through to work out what to do.

Oh, I'm kind of glad I didn't watch it. I really struggle with the idea ... I know losing one to save five works on a numbers basis, and it's better that all six didn't die, but anything to do with babies and children makes me cry nowadays (I find L&O SVU hard to watch a lot of the time when it's about kids).
Leigh, it's kind of a medical show - here's a summary House (http://www.tv.com/house/show/22374/summary.html&full_summary=1)
It's actually quite good, funny with serious bits.

Naomi, I've got it taped on dvd player so if you want a copy of it I can burn a copy of last night's episode for you.
I haven't watched any of that series yet, all banked up on dvd recorder. One of those rainy day jobs, I think.

Oh, Gloria, would you?? I can send you a DVD and a self addressed return envelope so it won't cost you anything. And do you also have the first episode, because I was only half watching, now I want to see it again to see how the whole thing was set up.
Can you PM me your postal address and I'll send DVD and envelope? Thank you so much!

But how do they take that kind of content and have it as a comedy as well as drama??? Not sure if it sounds like something i could watch!

It's not usually about babies. The comedy is in the characterisation and dialogue between the characters mostly. The drama is in the situation itself. I like it because it's not your run of the mill american sit-com, and it actually has a bit more depth and complexity to it.

I love watching House!! I'm so addicted to it although i'm with Naomi on the whole babies episode...i couldn't bear to watch that one...i can't stand to see babies die or any children getting hurt in a medical, on purpose way... (does that make sense??)

We watched this the other night be accident, usually how we get to see anything on 10. Jake usually has a great dislike for medical type shows, unless real. But we didn't mind this one.
Or maybe it was to shut me up, while he waited for Pimp my ride to start LOL
