Who has already started? Shut up if you have, I don't want to hear it :P LOLOL
I am terrible with Xmas shopping, we don't usually start till December. Last year we put a few laybys on early, and that was helpful.
Have been trying to look at the Target catalogue all morning, managed to see a few pages, what I saw looked good.
I prefer shopping at Target, they seem to have a good variety of stuff. Big W here is a little sad, not sure if that is all?
I would never Xmas shop at Kmart again, they are bloody hopeless, I lost count of the amount of people I know who's laybys they just couldn't find. As it was it took as 2 1/2hrs in line to pick ours up.

:P I've started,about two months ago acctually :)
The reason is because I'm an Avon Rep. I put together a christmas list and so I buy something each brochure for someone on the list.
Looking pretty good so far ;)

I shop all year round and when I see things that I think are suitable gifts I buy them and put them away in a cupboard. So if someone unexpectedly turns up on a gift givig occasion there is always a pressie for them. It's not nice to miss out when everyone else has got a pressie.

Nope, haven't even thought about it. I'd like to be one of those people who have it all done and out of the way early, but honestly, we usually end up doing it in the week before Christmas, at the height of madness.
I might have a look at the Target toy sale and see if there's anything for Hugo for Christmas - although I'm not a big fan of getting him too many toys (on the other hand, I don't want him growing up and remembering Christmas miserably because he only ever got books and clothes). We're looking at getting him a train set for his birthday in October which we can add to over time.
Sorry, lost track of the topic for a moment.

I managed to get through the target catalouge this afternoon. I am a bit of a catalounge junky, but big ones like that are extra fun
Some of the stuff in there tho :O I want to be a kid again now. Lots of stuff in there i'd like....for the kids of course ;)
Maybe they could all get a kitten each, would probably be cheaper LOLOL
OMG! No way! I usually get into a bit of a panic around the last week of November, when I realise that it's almost CHRISTMAS and I haven't even started yet!!!!

I usually start about 2 or 3 months before Christmas but my thesis is due in October so we will see how that plan pans out this year.

I pick up bits and pieces all year for birthdays and christmas and I usually put on a big layby for the kids around August or September and I still usually have a bit of a panic buy in the week before christmas.
It hadn't entered my mind! Good on ya Leigh, I'm going to go off to read another thread now I don't like this one :P

Last year was so busy with the pregnancy and then having Izzy around was so time consuming and we were so wrapped up in her that we almost for the Xmas shopping LOL we done it in the last few days leading up to Chrissy and it was hell!!! Luckily we got to leave Izzy with my mum to go and do it all!!
This year we've learnt from it and already have Izzy and my nieces pressies on Lay-By.....i think we went a little overboard cuz it added upto $289.00 just for a 9month old and a 3year old!! LOL
I sometimes think it would be better to just either wait til near the end and just buy what you can afford or buy things throughout the year cuz Lay-By's can send you broke....

Also in December: My Sister on 8th, brother on 21st, Nephew on 23rd, Brother on 29th and Son on 31st!! December has always been a hectic month for us!!! ;)

Well, well!! Some of us are organised arent we? I thought that my friend was a little loopy for having a pressie box!! I found out last Chrissy that she wasnt!! I was in a mad rush for things just before Christmas, coz I had so many new people to buy for!!
Through my friends and family, I have never had to buy any pressies for the kids and not the adults, either!! But in Pete's family, there is a different tradition!! They started last year with a Chrismas list of who you had to buy for and how much to spend on them and so-forth, so I was out looking for things, when I didnt think that I had to - 1 week before Christmas!! Since I was buying for the family, I thought that I would buy for my friends' kids, also, since I am like a surrogate aunty for most of them...pull my hair out!!
This Christmas will prolly be no better.....getting married in October and then got the boy's birthdays in November, so will prolly be a mad rush toward the end!! I might find time to do it in between them!!

wow, I envy some of you organised ppl! I never seem to think about presents until the last week, and then its a battle just to squeeze into the shopping centres! Maybe I should make an extra effort to think ahead this year...

I got my grandma a cd, but thats all I've gotten done! I'm horrible about it. I'll sometimes still be shopping the day before christmas eve!Its awful especially if we go out of town to relative's houses for Christmas, which is what we're doing this year.
