Hi everyone,

Tora (Anne) the winner of the Pet Story Competiton has chosen Roy (isn't he just gorgeous!) to be sketched as her prize, I've just started and I thought you might like to watch the sketch in progress :)

:D Aren't I just THE luckiest person!!!! The sketch is coming along brilliantly Pam, you are so very talented. :) I LOVE it!!!

Roy holds a very special place in the hearts of us all here. He is now living in South Australia, and anyone who attends cat shows around Adelaide, keep an eye open for him. ;) His name is: Brigsy Alroy.

It was a tough decision, which pet to have immortalised in portrait, but we eventually settled on Roy. :D

Pam, I won't ever be able to thank you enough, I am so thrilled!!!

Thanks Melissa :)

Anne, I'm so glad you are happy with him so far. It's really hard to sketch white animals, it's very easy to end up with the animal looking grubby ..or looking unfinished - hard to get the right balance.

I've done quite a lot more detail, but it simply won't show up in the scan as the pencil is very light and fine, so you will hardly notice that I've done anything lol.

I'll pop it up for you anyway :)

Hi Anne,

I'll pop your sketch in at the framers to have the matting put around it tomorrow. Really sorry about the delay! Not the best scan unfortunately, but I'm sure you will be happy when you finally get it ;)

Hi Anne,

Thanks for being so patient waiting for your sketch. I finally picked it up today from the framers so it is ready to post off to you. It's been double matted and plastic shrink wrapped - hence the photo is not the best.

Opps I'm a bit late on this one but I just wanted to say that Pam you are a fantastic artist. What a wonderful way to remember a pet and I'm sure it's something that Anne will cherish long after Roy is gone from this world.
