Looking for some non-dairy calcium ideas ... I got a list of foods from the ECN, but it's mostly dairy.

Anyone have any ideas?

Is tofu a source of calcium?

Yes, Tofu (tasteless tho IMO) is a good calcium source :) Salmon & Tuna too.

Pam, I'm not a fan of tofu and wouldn't eat it myself, but Hugo seems willing to try anything so he's probably be okay with it. He eats tuna, have thought about canned salmon but a bit worried about the little bones. I might try some tuna potato cakes today while I try to find an interesting tofu recipe.

I found this on the ninemsn website- sorry but I don't know how to make a link  But thought it might help.

I have also heard that sesame seeds are high in calcium and help you sleep

Oh, I didn't know that about sesame seeds. So does that mean my favourite pizza, which has its crust covered in sesame seeds is good for me?? :Hehe:

Oh, well Coco Pops it is then! If Monica says they're ok .... (just like chupa chups are good for us, lol).

Thanks for the link Mel - hadn't thought of dried figs or rhubarb, so that's something else I can try (he loves fruit, so is far more likely to eat this).
