  1. Angry my husbands Snoring

It is driving me insane. No wonder i have a crap night sleep. He is bad & i mean bad, i'm stuck on the lounge but then that's uncomfortable as the timber sticks into your sides, so then i end up with a bad headache. I'm really sick of it, i just want a good night sleep in my own bed. But no because hubby is snoring every night & it doesn't let up. Up going to buy a single bed for the lounge room i think, All the other bedrooms are taken with the kids so i'm stuck in the lounge room. Not Happy...

  3. When do the apron strings get cut?

I was reading H's post about her 18/19(?) yo son & some of what was written in the responses reminds me of the relationship between Princess' & his mum. I understand that H's thread was about the rudeness more so than the aspect that apparently all Mum's want their son's to be Mummy's boys and H's son is (I think ) 18/19 yo] BUT when is appropriate to cut the apron strings? Princess has just turned 27 this month and has a very choppy relationship with his Mum. This is exacerbated by the...

  4. Clomid?

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have any experience with the fertility drug, Clomid? I am off to the fertility specialist next week and my doctor seems to think that the first step for me will be Clomid. So, fingers crossed this will work :)

  6. Really seeking advice with a girlfriend from taiwan!!!

I think i've done wrong thing, and its worrying me like crazy, cause my girlfreind tonight told me off....but in a nice way!!!. A lady moved in next door 8 months ago (we are in units), shes from taiwan and has a 6 year old girl. Her hubby is still in taiwan and has a very successful career going. She is over here to give her daughter a better education. Over time, her and i have become very close freinds, so close that i've introduced her to my personal freinds, and they like her too, and...

  7. Question Too old fashioned

Held off posting about this as I thought I might be thought of as over protective,no one too good for my boy etc. OK....Sam is off on his second date and I don't like the girl at all. Met her for the first time last Saturday night @11.30pm when I picked him up from the train station and there she was! Offered to take her to her home but was informed that she had already told her parents where she was staying. A pleading look from Sam stopped me from saying anything and when we got home he...

  9. Pregnant and Confused

I discovered last week that I was pregnant (around 4-5 weeks) and I am so confused! Me and my boyfriend have just bought a reno project and a puppy after being together for 2 years. I was initially shocked and burst into tears and he said to me that he isnt in a position to have a baby, financially (we bought the house 2 months ago) or emotionally. I don't think I am either but I am not sure. I had a surgical abortion when I was 21 and it was awful I spirraled into deep depression and was put...

  10. Getting left behind in life

So i feel lately that i have really been left behind in life. I'm 28yo and engaged-no wedding plans yet- and everyone around me is having babies! My bestie just had a baby 2 days ago and I am really really happy for her but just can't every see myself having kids. I still have that thing invmy head that say 'oh no you do that later in life, when your grown up and all' I have a full time job and manage 19 people under me, have a house, car all that but just don't want the babies. I'm not a...

  11. Shopping online for baby things

I was speaking to JJs partner and told her I want to start buying things for baby Shannon but it is a bit silly buying stuff that he would already have? Anyway she said he will be needing some baby cutlery to start feeding himself when the time comes. I cant get to the shops because of my sore back so I thought I would get something online? There are thousands of online shopping for baby stuff!! Do you girls have any ideas on a good site as I would like to get clothes and toys online as...

  12. bullying

I'm watching Dr Phil (yeah, always a good thing ) and it's about school bullying and how severe it can get and how badly it impacts on kids. I recently met another mother at school with a boy in kindergarten (though not Hugo's class). Her son was bullied last term in kindergarten, by other kids in kindergarten :( I couldn't believe it ... Not just normal kid behaviour but actual targeted, deliberate tormenting. These kids are 5, maybe 6 years old.

  13. Decisions, decisions....

My (nearly) 16 year old is having a hard time at the moment. She bought home yesterday a note from school, with all of these different subjects which they can do on a Tuesday afternoon at Tafe, which will contribute to their University choices. DD doesn't really know what she wants to do, and she has to pick her subjects soon, for next year (Year 11) and the school want this note back to them ASAP. I do feel really sorry for her. She has always wanted to work with children, and has always...

  14. Elder Clowns

Have been worried about my residents lately.....many seem a tad too apathetic, one or two are definitely suffering depression (I know, often part and parcel of Dementia). Was trawling yesterday during Quiet time and came upon the Humour Foundation thinking of the Doctor Clowns. Unfortunately their resources are stretched as it is but they do have a program Laughter Boss. Have printed a copy for the Manager of the Facility, a very outgoing, loves a good laugh sort of man...and believe it or...

  15. What men dislike about single women

Interesting article today in the Age on 'Ask Sam' http://www.theage.com.au/lifestyle/lifematters/blogs/ask-sam/what-do-men-dislike-about-single-women/20100719-10hpb.html Well on one hand demanding to be taken on a set number of dates (and assuming that he's going to pay for all five dates) is a little beyond the pale. But then at the end of the article...

  16. Dating question... sort of

A friend and I were going around and around with this tonight and we couldn't come to any solution. Theoretically if my friend likes this guy, and wants to see him, and knows he's going to be at a party to which she has already previously declined the invitation because she had other plans, would it be wrong to cancel her existing plans and take up the invitation to go the party, specifically in the hope of seeing him. I was on the side of it being a bad idea, because we shouldn't...

  18. The kid knows what he wants

DS had a sleepover at my aunties place last night after they went to the movies and had a general day out. He showed off his school report to my auntie and grandparents and because of the good grades they gave him $5 each as a reward. So off to the shops they went and he was told he could spend his money on what he wanted (books, lollies etc) to which he replied "I think I will keep it for my moneybox and spend your money Auntie. Its more fun this way." Disclosure: I have not raised him...

  20. Don't even know where to start!

I was brought up by my mum with my brother. I'm 28 now and he's 30. Last year we both received a msg via FB from a lady claiming to be married to our other brother, one from our mothers previous marriage. Neither of us knew our mum was married before let alone have a son...and daughter it turns out. It turns out she was married with a 4yo and 6yo and walked out to do the shopping one day and never returned!! Then she married my day and had my bro and me. I have tried to talk to her about this...

not that he will ever hear me admit that. (I an wrong not stupid :hehe:) I thought we had given 90% of DS clothes away however DF got up in the roof space and we have filled 4.5 tall laundry baskets full of baby clothes from size 0000 to size 5. I will keep a few things but the rest are going to charity and friends.

  22. Loving this forum and moving forward with life..

Good evening, I hope things are going well. I went to a housewarming party on my own, last night and realised that there are some people out there that think they are better than others. Me and my partner were really close to this one guy about three months ago. He would come over almost every weekend, he was unemployed (came from overseas and was using his savings to get by), he would chat about how the money was different in Australia to Bahrain where he had a six figure salary; yet ...

  23. Funny conversation between brother and sister

Yesterday on my lunchbreak, I sat outside to have some fresh air. I was sitting next to a little boy and his sister, with their mum. The little boy was about 5 and his sister about 6. They were really cute and behaved. The little boy said to his mum "Mummy, when we get home, can i put carols clothes on again". His mum replied quietly "You can, but they have to be off by 6.00 when daddys home darling, you know what hes like when you do it!!". Carol was obviously the little girl. The lady looked...
