  1. Chocoholics Anonymous Parties

Has anyone ever hosted on? Or just been to one? I have just booked one for next Saturday night. Dh is away and I wanted something different to do for a bit of a girls night. It looks a bit $$ in the catalogue, but most party plan things are, right? Hopefully the chocolate is tasty...or at least some funky flavours or something.

  2. Banana mover

saw this in shop yesterday, was so amazed I took a photo :P - must be the most ridiculous and unneccesary invention ever - $6 for a banana shaped container to fit your banana in :haha: Adjustable for different sizes and has little ventilation slots at bottom. :D So you can keep your banana fresh for when you take one on a picnic or for snack at work :D Ummm, doesnt the banana skin keep it fresh enough now? And cant you put your banana in a lunch box with your sandwich? Just...

  4. Buying Amway products?

There is a product I like to get from Amway, I used to buy it through a friend who was a distributer but thought it would be easier to just buy it online direct from Amway now as our friendship isn't that close anymore and its a bit awkward. But when I go to the website I can't seem to buy anything, it wants me to join, start a business, be a distributer blah, blah, blah. I don't want to do that I just want to buy a couple of products. Anyone know how to do that?

  5. Pending Orders

Pre and post Christmas I've order form online and I'm amazed at the amount of stuff that's still pending delivery. The list is as below: 1) Might Car Mods * Season 3 DVD Set (The guys that produce this are friends, they said that they thought the address was weird, and we're waiting until after I go back to work to potentially resend.) 2) The Book Depository * 2012 Diary 3) RedBubble

  6. gift vouchers to thrift shops

Saw ad in our thrift shop window yesterday - saying Gift Vouchers available. Nevr seen that before - seemed a strange place to get a gift voucher for. Nothing against buying from second hand shops and the shop does also do a book exchange thing so good for prolific readers and I know someone struggling financially would get more bang for their buck at a second hand place than, say, Target - but would feel uncomfortable about giveing a voucher to there, not sure why. WDYT?

  7. The Book Boys

I live in a largish country town and there is one main shopping centre - couple of years ago an Angus and Robertson book store opened ,then closed, a private (as in not part of a chain) book shop opened, that closed after only about 6 months - now it has re-opened as The Book Boys. I went in there to check it out today - has very cheap books - most paperbacks under $10, even larger ones which I expect to see at around $25. They had the original prices and then the discount price - yes, I...

  10. Red face Checking bank statements

I have to confess that previously I didn't check them that much unless I wanted to make sure that a future dated payment had gone through. Lately we have been a little more thorough with this though (because of the credit card fraud debacle) and it is paying off. So far we have discovered two lots of payments which should not have been coming out. One is for mortgage insurance on a loan we have had closed since 2009. It isn't a huge amount which is why it has slipped through unnoticed until we...
